Dare - chapter 23

[2 months later]

I waited in the living room, while Haemin is getting ready to have a check up in the hospital. Last month when we headed to get a check up, it wasn't very clear.

Haemin kept telling me she think its a girl, i will be so glad to have a little baby girl.

"Sorry" Haemin said, the baby bump is much more evident now and she seems to be having a hard time walking down the stairs.

I got up for the couch and walked towards her as i extending my hand, which she placed her fingers in.

"Let me escort you princess" i said as i held her hand as she walked the last few steps.

I carried her bag, and we headed out. I held the door for the car open as she enter.

I quickly drove to the hospital excited to hear about my baby and the gender.

I knocked on the door of the doctor's as we entered shortly after. The doctor had a smile of her face as she welcomed the both of us.

We both took a seat.

"So, as you've reached the 5 month of your pregnancy your morning sickness will lessen however, the back pain will continue and made be more sever. Not only that," she said as she turned her attention from Haemin and looked at me.

"You wife will feel cramps on her legs often so help her massage when the time comes." She said as she turned back her attention towards haemin.

"Right, you will also feel more baby kicks and movement of your baby. It'll be weird but feel magical" she said as she smiled sweetly.

"Can we check the baby's gender?" Haemin asked.

"Yes, of course. Will you please head over to the bed there and pull your shirt up to expose your belly." She instructed.

I helped haemin over to the bed and sat at the chair as the doctor took the equipment out. She applied some gel onto Haemin's tummy and started the ultra sound.

"Your baby's heart beat is 140bpm per minute, the heart beat is normal so rest assured"

She said as she continued moving the transducer around as she started checking the gender of the baby.

"For what I've concluded, this is your babies legs and further up as you can see, there is nothing here," she said as she pointed on the screen, "this means your baby is girl. Congratulations" she said.

When i heard that, my heart was dancing and doing loops.

"Thank you" i said happily. Haemin was right about the baby girl.

After the doctor cleaned up the gel on haemin's belly, she printed an ultrasound picture of our angel and gave it to us.

We exited the hospital, "I cant wait to tell your parents about it" i said.

She was looking pretty solemn what is she thinking?

"Whats wrong" i asked.

"you know, i feel like continuing studying after I've given birth. Are you okay with it?" She asked.

I would much prefer her to stay home and take care of our angel but i will support her.

"Yes if thats what you want i will support you" i said.

"So wait for me okay. I know you want to get married but wait till I finished studying" i mentally groaned as i heard that, i just want to quickly claim her as mine.

"Don't keep me waiting for long, I can't wait to finally call you Mrs Jeon" she chuckled.

It seems she all better, we got home and she broke the happy news to her family.

"Oh my god! Another cute baby like haemin!! Lets fo shopping tae" her mother said as she hit on Mr kim which he whined.

"I thought i was the cute baby!?" Taemin yelled shocked.

"Well, haemin is the cutest" she said as she pulled haemin towards her.

Seeing this, it makes me miss the time with my family... well, they're no longer in the picture...
