Hello, my name is Park Jimin.
I'm a normal boy in Busan, who goes to a normal school, and who has normal friends too haha.
For the past six months I've been living in a tent all on my own. It's not as bad as it sounds, I mean, it could be a lot worse. At least, that's what my mom always used to say.
She died in a car accident when I was in 10th grade. Although it's been hard and I miss her a lot, I always remember her and keep her with me, and it makes me feel less lonely.
You might be wondering how I came to live in this tent in the forest in the first place. Well, you see, after my mother passed away, I went to live with my maternal grandfather, however, his house was in need of some renovations, and the family he went to stay with wasn't exactly happy about me staying with them too.
"Are you sure you've got a place to stay?" I remember him asking me as I packed a small bag and headed out the door.
"Don't worry, Grandpa." I smiled at him. "I've got friends, and soon enough we'll be back together again."
He wasn't exactly excited about me leaving and being on my own at such a young age, especially since I only told him I was going to stay with "friends" which was a lie. I didn't want to lie to my grandfather, it was just that, my two best friends have their own issues to worry about, and I really didn't want to become a burden or get in their way. That's why I decided to live on my own!
I travel back and forth from school to work on foot, and then walk home in the evenings to pay for my tuition. I'm busy a lot, but it helps the mourning the less I think about it.
"Alright mom! I'm off to school!" I smile at her picture which rests on the ground next to my pillow and blanket. "I know, I know! I won't be late, I promise!" I chuckle and hurry out of the tent, heading for the familiar pathway out of the woods.
In the beginning I was afraid of the bugs and such, but after a while we became acquainted with one another and I got over it. I'm not very strong, and I don't know how to fight either...I suppose that's why I'm not very popular with the guys, but it doesn't bother me. My mom used to say, be yourself and the people who see the good things about you will come no matter what.
As I walk through the grove of trees, a figure catches my eye.
"A house?" I mumble to myself as I stray from the path to investigate. "I never knew someone lived here." I whisper. The house is traditionally built and decorated, as well as large and spacious looking from the outside.
As I peer onto the small deck another thing catches my attention.
"Aww..." I coo, looking at the cute painted rocks. I notice as I look from rabbit, to dog, to cow that they are the animals of the Zodiac.
(Just an example)
"Is it just me, or is there an odd boy standing on my front porch?" A tall man says.
Quickly I jump back. "I-I'm so sorry, sir. I-I was only looking, and I didn't really mean to pry-"
"Don't worry about it." He chuckles, sitting down cross legged in front of the rocks. "Are you familiar with the Chinese Zodiac?"
"Well..." I hold my bag close to my chest and blush out of nervous habit. "...I know the stories my mom used to tell me as a kid."
"Ah. You must be referring to the old folk tales." His voice is calming and easy to listen to.
"Mhmm." I smile.
"I don't suppose you have a favorite?"
"Well..." I chuckle and scratch my head. "I don't know about a favorite, but I've always like the rabbit."
His eyes go wide in surprise. "Huh? The rabbit?" His face remains curious and still. "What for?"
"Well..." I dig the toe of my shoe into the dirt. "The rabbit never had many friends in the story, and I guess I always felt like he deserved someone to be his friend. I mean...why was he to blame for who he was?"
His eyes sparkle with some kind of odd admiration and curiosity as he looks at me and quietly thinks over my answer.
"What animal did you say you were?" He asks.
"O-Oh, I'm a dog."
"Ah. I knew there was something I liked about you." He chuckles. "... But then again you're so pretty, I just thought it was your eyes-"
He's suddenly cut off by a younger boy about my age purposefully dropping a bag onto his head with a loud thud.
"You'll have to excuse my friend, he's kind of an idiot." The young boy said.
As I look up at the boy, I'm shocked to realize that it's the prince of my school, THE Kim Taehyung!
MOM! C-Can you see this from heaven?? I, Park Jimin, have been living down the road from the mysterious Kim Taehyung for the past 6 months and I didn't even know it!
"N-No!" I chuckle. "It's no problem at all." I smile nervously.
"Taehyung, why do you have to be so rude?" The older man says, groaning.
"Why do you have to be such an idiot?" He snaps back coolly. "You're name's Park Jimin, isn't it?" He suddenly says, catching me off guard.
"U-Uh, Yes. That's me."
"I believe we're in the same class."
"Um...y-yes. We've been in the same class for almost three years now." I chuckle.
"I can't believe I've never seen you walking home before." Taehyung says gently, thinking over this.
"O-Oh, I just moved in!" I say, trying to make up an excuse.
"Oh?" He looks at me with confused eyes. "Where do you live?"
I suddenly regret my lie and wish I could disappear. Why do I do this to myself?
"I uh...just...down the road away." I smile widely and hope that they will stop talking about it.
"We'll have to pay you a visit some time." He says sweetly.
"I um...it's really only temporary so uh...you don't need to do that!" I say quickly.
"Oh..." He whispers to himself. "...It would seem that we're late for school now, Mr. Park."
"School?..." I look at him dumbfound until I suddenly remember what I was doing before I stopped in to visit. "OH NO! School! I better get going right now! I don't want to be late! Thanks for everything! I really should be going though-"
"Mr. Park?" Taehyung says, cutting me off gently. "Why don't we just walk together?" He smiles at me and suddenly I feel like a might burst with giddiness. Is he really smiling at me?? The prince of my school is looking at me with that face?
"Uh...S-Sure." I stutter and hide my face as best as I can as we begin to walk to school.

Hello, Lovelies!!
I was suddenly hit with the urge to write this story today, so here it is.
I won't be updating it very often until I complete my other books,
However, I will update haha. This book is 100% based off of the anime Fruits Basket, and is not my own work at all.
I've just been dying to write a fanfiction that is a combination of BTS and this storyline for a while now.
