Thank you for all the reads, Lovelies!!
Jimin's POV:
"Let's see, I'm pretty sure this is the right section." I mumble to myself as I walk down an isle at our school's library. "Ah! Here it is." I smile and grab the book off of the shelf, flipping it over to scan the front cover. "Fiery Spirit: The Inner Life of The Martial Artist. Sounds exciting." I read the title and smile to myself.
My master put me through hell up there in the mountains but those were some of the best days of my life! Jungkook's words play over in my head. It's like everyday was an adventure, right?! I'd wake up every morning and ask myself, how much stronger am I gonna get today? Just talking about it gets me pumped up!
"Okay, next stop: Gardening." I whisper to myself as I walk to the gardening section of the library. "Hmmm...." I hum as I scan the books. "Oh hey! This looks like a good one. Twelve Steps to A Happy Home Garden."
Are you planting something new? I remember asking Taehyung. Yes. Strawberries. He answered in such a sweet and gentle tone. Really? I can't wait, I love strawberries! I beamed. Hmm...I thought you might. That's why I'm planting them...
I'm glad I've gotten to know Taehyung and Jungkook as well as I have, but I'd still like to get to know them even better. I think I can little by little, and learning about the things that they like seems to be a good way to start.
Another book catches my eye. "100 Family Recipes. There's got to be some great dinner ideas in here." I add the book to my pile and walk to the front desk cheerfully.
"I'd like to check these out please." I say as the man at the desk begins to run the books through the scanner.
A second later the door slides open, revealing my P.E. teacher.
"Ah, Mr. Park." He greets me with a smile. "I've been looking for you. You have a phone call waiting in the staff office. Come with me, please."
"Yes, sir." I answer.
"Here are your books as well." The librarian says, handing me my pile of books.
~In the Staff Office~
"This is Jimin." I say, as I place the phone against my ear. "Grandpa! Hi uh-" I'm cut off when my grandfather tells me the news.
~At Home After School~
I walk into the house and place my bag under the table as I sit down with Namjoon. Jungkook grunts outside, practicing his martial arts.
"I.....I just found out the renovations are done." I say slowly, not barring to look at any of them. Namjoon looks up from his paper with wide eyes.
"Huh?" Namjoon says, his eyes full of shock.
"I uh...I got a phone call from my grandfather up at the school. He told me." I explain, trying to hide the disappointment in my voice.
"Ah, I see. And if memory serves, you were planning to move back into the house once the work was done, is that right?" Namjoon asks.
"What renovations?" Jungkook asks, his voice angry.
"Oh uh...I guess we never told you, Jungkook." Namjoon says gently.
"So what?! Tell me now." Jungkook demands.
"Well you see," I begin slowly, turning to face the open door to the outside, which Jungkook stands. "after mom died I went to stay with my grandfather on my father's side, but then I found out that my aunt and her family were going to move into the house with us, and grandpa decided it would be a good idea to have some remodeling done, you know, to make room for everyone. So, he went away to stay with my aunt while the work was going on, and I stayed here so I didn't miss school. Well, I didn't stay here, I stayed in a tent for a while, but anyway, now that they've finished with all the construction, it looks like I can go back and-"
