Cohesion ( Newt X reader )

Chapter 5

The only thing on my mind was how terrified newt and the others must me. we walked around even though it was really dark, "do people live down here?" thomas asked, "the solar storms forced people underground. jorge says there's settlements all over theses tunnels." she said, "so. what about Jorge? is he your father?." I asked, "close enough. truth is. I don't really know what he is. he's just always been there. and I've always done what he's asked me to do. no matter how stupid." she says. I'm guessing she really does see him as a father, "so you don't think the right arm is real." thomas asked looking at her but the at the screeching in the background scared us. I could feel my heart beginning to race. we checks behind us to make sure they weren't coming and then continued walking, "hope is a dangerous thing. hope has killed more of my friends than the flare and the scorch combined. Just thought Jorge was smarter than that." she said.

We stopped at a corner looking on whether to go left or right hoping one of these hallways leads us out of here, "damn." brenda says but she was right there was more than just one tunnel. thomas went forward. brenda went backwards and I stayed with thomas, "yeah I think it might be this way." thomas turning towards me but then I looked behind me and Brenda was gone, "brenda?" I said but got no reply. thomas called her name when she finally spoke, "I'm over here. look at this." she said calling us over, "what. what is it?" I said trying to find what she was looking at. There was a ton of these things that look like Vines but they weren't down one tunnel, "what the hell is this?" thomas questioned, "I don't know." brenda replied. I shined my flashlight seeing all of these what I believe are dead bodies. A screeching sound that came from my right and we turn to see a small tunnel where the sound was coming from. but it was just a mouse. brenda kicked it away from us. The things that were dead bodies picked up the the mouse ate its head off. Then all of the Monster started moving. thomas pulled me in close as well as for brenda. We're about to run away when one of them was behind us. thomas grab something out of bring his bag and hit the monster with it as we started running away from them.

I can feel myself losing breath but I never stopped running, "keep going!." thomas yelled as we never looked back except for him. We have finally made it outside but it turns out we had ran any further you would have Plum it to our deaths. But we had to think of an idea because they were coming fast, "come on this way!." brenda said leading the way. We climbed up as fast as we could but they were moving fast. I almost slipped the Thomas managed to grab me and we continued climbing, "watch out!." brenda warned us as something hit them down giving us time, "follow me!." brenda says, "yeah we're behind you." I said barely able to talk. We climbed up the stairs but they were faster. the thing almost got ahold of brenda but i moved thomas out of the way as the monster grab my shoe. Started giving me flashbacks like what happened with Winston. I kicked it with so much anger and pain, "that's for winston." I whispered. We never stop climbing. hoping that by the time we reached this building will be able to get out of here. Brenda try to grab ahold of the side of the steps but it broke which caused the door open then let her sliding to her death, "brenda!." I screamed. I could tell that the fall hurt badly, "brenda!. are you okay!?" thomas said, "yeah." she said in pain. brenda slowly tried to move but the glass was slowly breaking, "No brenda don't move!." thomas said trying to figure out a way to get down there. We slowly but surely made are way down there not hitting the glass. she managed to stand up so I held onto the ground as Thomas held onto my left hand leaving his left hand open to grab brenda. she was almost there when one of the monsters came in through the door, "No. No. NO!." I screamed leaning a little bit down so he could reach her faster but we were too late. The monster Pinter to the glass, "THOAMS!. Y/N!." She screamed in fear. She tried kicking him off but she couldn't reach us. Thomas jump down grabbing something to hit the glass with which caused the monster to fall but he held onto Brenda as we caught her just in time.

We found a way to get down but it did the complicated, "we can get down here. come on." thomas said.
It felt so great to finally be on the ground again for some reason. Brenda sat down on the ground dropping a bag, "you alright?" we both asked going up to her. She lifted her pants showing the side of her leg being bitten at least three times. I guess in fear having even more flashbacks about winston, "brenda.." thomas trying to finish this sentence but he just couldn't, "yeah. yeah. I know. let's just go find marcus." she said getting up and started walking. thomas saw that my arm was bleeding, "no I'm okay. it's just the wound hadn't fully healed since the guard had my arm so me holding you and trying to hold myself up. it was hard but at least we got her."  I said thomas reassuring me. Even though I wish it was me. Place we were we manage to find people that live here, "okay. try to blend in." she said leading the way. We made it to the place or at least I think, "are you here for the party?." A lady asked us, "uh. no" I said, "we're looking for marcus. this is his place. isn't it?." brenda said asking the woman, "this is my place." The guy said that I'm guessing is marcus, "are you marcus?" thomas asked him, "marcus doesn't live here anymore." he says fiddling with his fingers, "do you know where we can find him?" brenda also asked, "sure. He's over in zone B." the man says, "what's zone B?" I asked, "it's where they burn the bodies." the woman said giving thomas a very flirty look, "okay look. has anyone else been by here?. Looking for him. group of kids around our age?. they had a girl with them." thomas says, "one guy with dirty blonde hair with a cut against the left side of his cheek." I added, "you know. uh...I think they might be inside. here." he said giving us a bottle of something to drink, "drink this." the man says, "what is it?" I asked not but wanting to drink this because who knows what it could be, "the price of admission." he says like we're supposed to know what he's talking about. We all hesitated just wanting to walk away even though the guy could be right. and the only thing flowing through my mind is newt being so scared that I might be dead, "drink it!." he demanded. Without any more hesitation bring the snatched it from his hand and took a nice big huge gulp of it, "your turn." he told thomas. Thomas started drinking it as the lady started helping him drink more than he wanted to, "you next lovely." he told me. I took the bottle out of thomas's hand and took a big gulp of it even though I didn't want to. The bottle is already empty from the three of us taking a drink from it. tasted disgusting whatever it was, "all right. you three join the party." he said pushing us into the place filled with people drinking and having fun, "maybe we should split up. see if we can find the others." brenda suggested. thomas didn't look so good, "hey. don't drink anything else." she told him before walking off, "just be careful." I said going my own way.

My mind couldn't fully understand what was going on. It felt like I wasn't even walking. more like I was floating. People were cheering and having fun as I was trying to see if I could find the others, "hey beautiful take that Jacket off." The guy said pulling my jacket off slowly. I pushed him away and continued walking even though I was getting hot. I found Thomas looking at something when I walked over to him. They had a monster chained up trying to fight somebody that wasn't like the monster. a guy walks up to him and shoots him right in the head. Me and Thomas both looked away as I'm guessing he feels just as sick as I do, "that was fun!." the guy from the outside said to us. thomas went one way and I went the other, "love come on let's dance." The only male british voice I know said to me. I turned around and it was really him. I smiled as he pulled me close. wrapping his hands around my waist, "let's run away together. without them." newt said. I looked into his eyes. I blanked repeatedly and shaking my head. I finally came to my senses and realize I was dancing with just some random guy. I backed away from him slowly. I ran into somebody else not paying attention. I looked and I couldn't believe what I saw. It was Winston as one of those monsters, "YOU DID THIS TO ME Y/N!." he said about to attack me. I screamed running the other way but ran into someone else again. I looked and saw it but I didn't want to see ever in my life. It was Newt as one of them. I screamed and fell to the ground. newt started screaming the same thing winston started yelling at me, "YOU KILLED ME Y/N!. YOU KILLED ALL OF US!." newt yelled. I just laid there on the ground. I saw Thomas on the ground just like me but before I could reach him I passed out.

I shot up gasping for air, "hey!. love it's alright. it's me calm down." newt said. I looked at him with those beautiful brown eyes. I hugged him and started crying, "it's okay. we're alive." newt said trying to help, "But you were-you were..."  I said not being able to finish my sentence, "love what was I?" he said wanting to know what I was talking about, "you....you said you loved me. but I know it was all in my head from whatever that guy gave me." I said not telling him what I was originally going to say, "well the thing is that....I actually I......do. I just never said anything because I didn't know if we were going to make it out alive." newt admitted. I was actually shocked from the words that he just said. newt started slowly lead in as I moved to him. Our lips collided which felt amazing. His lips were soft. gentle to the touch and so sweet. We pulled away for air shocked at what just happened, "you don't know how long I've been waiting for you to do that" he said laughing and did i, "you two shanks are really doing this now?" minho said a little annoyed, "shut up minho." newt said laughing. I heard Jorge yelling at the guy who gave us the drink, "that's the guy that lead us here" I said to newt. newts expression changed quickly as he walked away from me and punched the crap out of a guy. and so did jorge, "I'm sorry.. you're going to have to leave my house." the guy said, "looks like you've been having fun." I said to thomas sarcastically, "I'm not going anywhere because you hurt me friends AND the woman I love!." newt said punching him again. aris went up to me hugging me, "so you guys are together?" aris asked. I blushed nodded yes. Newt punch the guy one more time before i stopped him, "newt calm down. let Jorge handle this." I said holding him close. It feels a little weird but I'm glad that I found him because I don't know where I'd be without him.
