I envy Jin for eating so much without adding weight.
MiYeon observed Jin savoring their morning breakfast in the hotel's dining hall . He was so immersed with the selected dishes he brought. There were two extra plates from him, but MiYeon could awkwardly smile.
Ever since they've arrived in Miami, food adventures were on their number one list. MiYeon didn't mind wherever they went as long as they enjoyed their holiday.
She finished her side and felt full. Jin, however, continued to eat, especially the different types of bread served at the table. There were other tourists in shock at the amount of used empty plates on the table. They thought he was eating sushi. They couldn't believe that someone like Jin was able to eat until there was no tomorrow.
Well, it depends on his mood too. If Jin is in a good mood, he'd happily eat one meal after another without gaining anything. This was his holiday and he could do whatever he wants in that spare time. On the contrary, he would eat as equal as his wife if he wasn't the slightest bit content with himself.
There are some things that bother him and there are those that he wants to conceal.
"Hm? Is something on my face?" Jin intervened MiYeon's trance and she shakes her head.
At one point, she had dreamed of traveling back to Japan. She missed the simplicity that lingers there. The pink-petal trees were her most favourite as they made her heart feel warm. It was an unexplainable sentiment to describe to someone, but it could be seen through ones expression.
Japan is indeed the most popular country to travel to in the Asian region. The country is close to their hometown as well, but Jin insisted they try a different setting for once. MiYeon agreed nonetheless and didn't argue back. She didn't mind whatsoever, as long as they could travel together.
Once, MiYeon had to fly to Japan for an important meeting with their partner's organisation. Despite some conflicts and issues, she had to go with her manager to see the said company. Jin pouted and wondered why they had to trouble themselves into flying to another country when they could've just held an online conference.
She shrugged her shoulders and mentioned that she got a bonus just for accepting the offer.
Jin sulked at the corner after hearing about it, yet congratulated his wife.
Trying different sets of dishes in Miami, Jin was also cautious about the prices of each restaurant. Although he was keen in traveling to various cafes, he did not want to burden his wife by enjoying the holiday himself.
He wanted her to savour this sweet moment as well. He wanted her to take the lead when it came to touring around a new city.
Unfortunately, MiYeon was only interested in capturing images of Jin eating. She didn't mind following Jin around. They were on their break and they could spend time with each other without thinking about work. It was lucky for them to have such a long break. This opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime chance that cannot go to waste.
"Say, Jin." She began, inducing the lad to finish the last bits of pieces before dabbing his mouth clean. He piled the plates in one pile, careful that they don't topple off the table. Jin did not want to pay for the damages in this hotel after paying for their stay.
He dusted his palms and leaned forward to listen to his wife's statement.
"Hm?" He smiled, causing his cheeks to puff out. Her stomach swelled in glee at this childlike projection of her husband. She can never take Jin seriously because he was always in high spirits.
