Thomas, being the sneaky man he is, apparently had an itinerary prepared for you for the whole day.

He took you to different shops where he bought you ridiculously expensive things. He forced himself to stop purchasing items when you adamantly drew a line.

You chose items for Hope as well, like a small beach hat and a dainty pink dress.

You were exhausted when you returned.

Thomas had managed to stuff your stomach with food, so you had to force him to not order food when he started to babble about your health.

You stayed on the balcony of the hotel, admiring the lights dancing on the water as Thomas changed into more comfortable clothes.

Speak of the devil...

A pair of arms engulfed you in them, and your neck has been taken captive by a pair of soft, wet lips.

"You alright?" he muttered against your neck.

You nodded calmly, though your heart was going to jump out of your chest any minute. "Thank you for today. I haven't felt so free."

You felt him smile. "You deserve a break, love. And I'm giving it to you. I'm sorry for making you do all the-"

"Stop," you muttered. "Stop it."

You turned around to face him, ignoring the fact that you were leaning on the railings and trying to shut out the fear of the railings breaking and falling on concrete.

You were going to lash out at him and tell him to shut up about the past, but he just... took your breath away.

You were welcomed by the sight of his bare chest. You looked up at him to see his brown eyes staring intently at you. His jaw was tense, and his hair disheveled. He looked like a god.

And you looked like one of his lowly subjects.

How dare he put you on a pedestal when he was so perfect?

He crooked his head to the side in confusion, as if waiting for you to speak. He put his hands on the railings on either side of you, trapping you around him.

"Y/N?"

Was he talking?

"Eh?" was your attractive response.

Thomas' lip twitched in amusement. "I was asking if you were tired."

You smiled dreamily. "Not really."

His tongue glided across his lower lip as his gaze drifted from your eyes to your lips.

You looked away.

"Can I kiss you?"

Your head snapped back towards him.

"What? I can't kiss my girlfriend?"

Girlfriend. Honestly, that label was inadequate when it comes to describing your love towards one another.

Ugh. When did you become so cheesy?

'"I'll be a gentleman," Thomas added teasingly when you didn't reply.

You exhaled shakily and nodded.

You were only about to mentally prepare yourself for the kiss when you processed his lips greedily kissing yours.

Suddenly feeling dizzy since you processed that you were forty floors up and only railings were in between you and falling, you froze in his arms.

Of course, Thomas knew you enough to know why you stiffened. He hoisted you up in his arms and you instinctively wrapped your legs around his waist as he carried you to the bed, your lips never losing contact.
