Terri's POV

*2 months later*

"Then, she had the nerve to cut me off on the interstate!" Tasha ranted as I stared at my laptop screen. "I swear I almost killed that heffa today! LA traffic is already bad enough!"

"Uh huh." I responded, still not paying attention.

Tasha's face grew in suspicion as she began to walk towards my seat at the kitchen table. "What you looking at?"

"Nothing." I said, quickly closing the laptop.

"Mhmmm." She said, squinting her eyes.

Footsteps were being heard coming down the stairs and it was Algee, grinning ear to ear. "I thought I heard somebody down here. How you doing, Tash?"

"Same ole shit, just a different day."

"I feel you," he said and walked over to me. "Baby, I'm finna go check on the spot real quick. You're not gonna forget, are you?"

"No, I'm not gonna forget about your precious little birthday attire." I said, playfully rolling my eyes.

"Only thing precious to me is you." He said before giving me a peck on the lips and heading to the door. "Love you!"

"Love you too! Be careful!"

"I will!" He yelled back before leaving.

"Is he going for a Bow Wow role cuz I've never seen him with braids," Tasha said.

I laughed. "Aye, don't start that. He wanted to do something different with his hair."

"Who did it cuz I know you can't braid for shit," she joked.

"Some girl named Alicia."

Her face dropped. "Some girl?? Nope. I wouldn't go for that. If it ain't his mama or a blood relative doing it, it ain't happening. That's why Evan let me do his hair."

"And that was the only time he did cuz you gave him a Jheri curl."

"He can't help that his hair is naturally curly and he got Cherokee in his family."

I laughed and shook my head. Then, I started to feel sick and nauseous. I got up and ran to the nearest bathroom. Almost everything I've ate earlier and yesterday came out of me.

As I came out of the bathroom and back into the kitchen, Tasha was sitting in the chair in front of mine with her arms folded. "Bitch, you pregnant?"

I sighed and smiled. "Yes."

She screamed in excitement and jumped up to hug me. "I'm finally gonna be an auntie! And mama can stop hounding me about giving her a grandbaby now! Did you just find out?"

"No. I've been holding this in for a little minute now. Algee doesn't even know."

"Wha- how far long are you?"

"Two months."

"When are you gonna tell him?"

"At the birthday dinner tonight. He's gonna be so off guard." I smiled at the thought of seeing his face when I tell him.

"Hold up," Tasha said. "You're two months pregnant and yall just got married two months ago......you nasty heffa. You let him turn you into a twinkie on yall honeymoon!"

"I'm not finna deal with you." I laughed as I grabbed my jacket and keys.

"Hey, I'm not judging you." She said as we headed out the door. "It feels better without a condom. As long as the pull out game strong."

*Later that night*

The birthday dinner was starting to come to an end. We ate, had a good time, and of course, Algee was drunk. I stood up at the end of the long table and clinked my glass with a knife, gathering everyone's attention.

"Before this night comes to an end, I want to give my loving husband a very remarkable gift and hopefully he remembers it in the morning." I smiled as Tasha brought in a black box and sat it on the table in front of Algee. He opened the lid and saw a Jordan box inside.

"As much as you get on me about having shoes everywhere, you buy me another pair." He chuckled.

He opened the box to see a small pair of Jordans, a pink glittery bow, and a note inside. I giggled at the confused look on his face as he picked the note up.

"Jordans or bows. In a few months, we'll know." He read out loud. "Wait, you're pregnant???"

I nodded and he stood up with the biggest smile I've seen from him yet. "You're pregnant! Oh my God, you're pregnant! I mean, WE'RE PREGNANT!"

Everyone clapped and took pictures as we embraced each other during this moment. Algee turned to everyone and raised up a bottle of DeLéon Platinum tequila to make one last toast.

"I just wanna thank everyone for coming out and showing love to ya boy. Yall make it home safe and sound. And umm, I'M A DADDY NOW!"
