The forest

Chapter 4

As they arrived at the falls Alex felt the same chill go down his back. Alex didn't care at this point all he wanted to do was get off of the buss!
"We're here" Ms.Everdeen called out
"Yay" the class replied in sink
As the class got off of the buss he noticed a shadow in the woods, after a few minutes of just staring at the same spot he finally just looked away thinking it was a glimpse of his imagination.
(But dear reader it was not in the least apart of his imagination)
Ms. Everdeen was now coming around to count us, 29 she called out, after going over her little speech again about precautions and safety, she let us go to the water. Every now and then she would have to yell at one of the boys to stop fooling around or one of the girls to stop sitting around and not being productive. The girls just sat on the sidelines and whispered and gossiped the whole time.
After about 1 and a 1/2 hours Ms. Everdeen called us out of the water to come and have a snack. Everyone was hungry from all of that swimming. Just as I was about to put my snack away Chad the most popular boy in my school came and sat next to me, leaving his gang and his girlfriend behind.
"Yo, dude see that girl Samantha over there I think she is checking out how ugly you are man" he said in a low whisper.
"Stop it Chad, just go away" I replied
I looked around at Samantha she was actually staring at me making a happy face. Usually when girls look at me they make a weird face or an evil stare (which makes you fell cold inside) as you see girls don't like me at all.
After when everyone was done there snack Ms. Everdeen said we could go back into the water to go and swim again. I really needed to go so I asked Ms. Everdeen if I could go and she said that I had to bring a partner. She looked right over to Samantha and signalled her to come over. My mouth dropped seriously i thought why can't I take a boy? Ms. Everdeen gave me the just incase look and i sighed. Why does this always happen to me???
