Hyun Jae Han's POV
I'm nervous. I feel like I'm a suspect in an interrogation room, except it's a dining room and there's two pretty girls in front of me. Soo Jung just woke up. Hae Young told me to wait until she does so they both can question the life out of me.
The lights are off, except for one flashlight Hae Young is shining at my face.
"Prove it." Hae Young started. She's standing at the side of the large oak dining table, almost beside me. Soo Jung is on the other side, clearly not in the mood. I think it's understandable. Her ex-boyfriend just showed up in front of her earlier, and now I'm the one who's standing before her. I mean, them.
"Prove what?" I asked, softly. The last thing I want to do in this situation is to provoke them. If I do, I'm not sure if I'll even come out here alive.
"You." she answered.
"Pardon?" I asked. I don't get it.
She groaned in annoyance. "You really are just like him." Soo Jung is looking at me, observing. Shoot. I really do need to prove that I'm different. I looked at Soo Jung and she gave me a nod. Why did she nod?
"I understand that you two are expecting something, or anything from me that is unlike of him. I was like that too. I've been observing him for three days now, and apart from the relationships and family backgrounds we have, I can't show anything to you two that is at least the slightest different from him. Trust me, I've done the research." I explained.
They looked at each other and communicated with some kind of sign language I've never seen before. After that, Soo Jung spoke. "When you approached me, did you know that I was his girlfriend?"
I shook my head. "I just only realized earlier, when I saw him come out of the store and he left you crying in there. I'm sorry... for... looking like him. I wish that I looked different, I never realized that it's difficult to look like someone so... known."
Her face changed, as if she realized something. "You weren't the one I was talking to at the store."
"Yeah." I said.
There was a short while of silence between us three. As if we were giving each other time to think. I'm not sure if Hae Young knows what we both are thinking but she's pretty silent too.
"Thanks." Soo Jung whispered. She wouldn't meet my eyes as if she's embarrassed. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have told him what I really felt about him and would have probably looked stupid and pathetic in front of that asshole."
"So are you two over?" I asked.
She chuckled. "We've been over for eight days. I must have been too caught up with him to have not realized that."
"Well, maybe we should start this another time. After you're all well and coped from this situation."
"Let's." She agreed.
I held her hand and looked at her. "I'm just grateful that you're giving me a chance."
"Oh, I'm not only just giving you a chance." she said. "I'm giving myself another one too."
Hae Young slammed her hands on the table, creating a loud thump. "I know you two are dating and all but how do we know that you're not really Woo Seok?"
"Unfortunately, I can't prove it through physical means but if you want, we can try finding something." I suggested.
"Oolalah. We're getting inside aren't we?" Hae Young commented.
"Hae Young!" Soo Jung scolded her. "This house isn't a stripper club, and don't make it one."
"Yeah, right. As if I don't strip here." Hae Young said while attempting an impromptu seductive dance on Soo Jung.
