1. As he pulled the trigger,and the bullet entered my brain,my worst fears came true.
I survived.
2. The boy slid the mask on and sneered,"I don't see what's so scary about the mask".
The mask maker grinned,"That's because you haven't tried to take it off yet"
3. When late at night,I found my wife weeping at the kitchen table,I asked,"Honey,what's wrong,why are you crying?"
"Because",she said and showed me the bloody knife in her hand,"no matter what I do,you won't stay dead".
4. I was standing in my room when the wind closed the door.
I laughed and said,"well,now open it",I froze when the door slowly opened.
5. I'm afraid of opening my eyes. I know you're on the ceiling,waiting for me to see you.
I won't look.... I won't look....
6. Carla skin was warm,soft and still smelled of vanilla and gardenias.
Angie wondered how long she could wear it before rot overpowered that perfume.
7. My son cried when I killed both of his dogs today.
I didn't tell him why,but last night while I slept,I overheard them talking about him.
8. I slid my hand through the damp hole in the wall.
I needed to stroke her hair again;before adding the last brick.
9. Ready to settle down for the evening,I put my headphones on.
The whispering coming from them startled me;they were not plugged in.
10. Someone has to clean up suicide sites;I've been doing it as a part of a crew for twenty years now and it's gotten a bit too much for me.
