"Amberley, wake up. Nap time is over" I hear Aziz says softly as he rocks my shoulder to wake me up. I flutter my eyes open to find Aziz crouching down beside the bed to wake me up.
"There she is. Now come on, get up I'm taking you somewhere" He says with a smile. A Suspicious smile.
"I don't wanna. The baby doesn't want me to." I say turning around. I feel the bed dip behind me and a hand slithers around my side and rests on my belly.
"Come on, Baby. He's sleeping" Aziz says in my ear before kissing it. I turn around to face a handsome Aziz. He smelled good, like earth with a hint of coffee. I never seen him drink coffee, only for a couple of times. "Stop thinking about me and coffee and get up or no surprise"
I groan as I sit up on the bed. Pouting I flop my hands in my lap and looked at him with puppy eyes. He just shakes his head and walks out of the bedroom. Well then.
I get up and get ready for the day. Might as well look a bit nice. I slipped on a dark blue, floor length dress that has a small brown belt around it, but I just tossed the belt because it won't fit around my belly. I looked at myself in the mirror and fixed some of the wrinkles. Do I really waddle? Imma see. I back away from the mirror and start walking towards the mirror. I do have one. Ugh. I don't want to be a penguin.
"Stop that, you do waddle and it's adorable. Now get your shoes on" Aziz says in my ear and that made me jump.
"Why you do that?" I whine with my hand over my heart. It's now racing like a mad man because Aziz scared me.
He just walks towards the closet and grabs something before coming back out to me. "Sit down, Angel" He tells me softly and I sit down on the edge of the bed. Aziz sits down on the floor and slips on some navy blue flats. "Okay, now you're ready" He says and I giggle.
Aziz helps me up and we walk downstairs and towards the kitchen. "Anything you're craving today?"
"Always. I want waffles with cucumbers" I say rubbing my belly to show him I'm a hungry lady. "Coming right up" He says before going and creating the delicious meal.
After eating, Aziz walked me over to the front door and I saw suitcases. What the...."where are we going?" I ask looking at Aziz confused.
He just lifted up the handles of the suitcases and gave me a smile. "Can't tell you" he said as he put two in one hand. I went to go get one to help but he swatted my hand away. "Amberley, I don't want you to lift a finger. Now I want you to go get your blanket and the bear from your bed" He tells me. Blanket? Bear? What is he talking about?
I walk upstairs and into our room to find a white and grey fuzzy blanket is on the bed with a brown fuzzy teddy bear sitting on top with a jar of jelly beans. Oh my god! I grab all three gifts and walk downstairs with the biggest smile on my face. The blanket is so fuzzy!!
By time I get down all the suitcases are outside and Aziz is inside waiting for me. "You like your gift?" He asks me and I nod vigorously.
I set the gifts down and give Aziz the biggest hug. He just chuckled and hugged back, rubbing my back in the process. "I thought you deserved a gift since you are doing so good as a mommy so far" this time it was my turn to giggle. "Now let's get your mommy butt in the car" he says and we both walked out of the house. We both got into his Tahoe and made our way to what ever place we are heading to.
"Amberley, wake up" I hear Aziz say twice today. Did I fall asleep? We were only in the car for five minutes before I was out.
"We're here" He says as he drives through a city I've never seen before. It's night here and all the building here are lit up. It's beautiful.
"Where are we?" I asked in amazement. In New York I live on the outskirts of the city so I didn't get to experience how it would be to live as a New Yorker.
"You know how I'm from Texas?" He asks me. I nod my head remembering how he told me that when I first went out to a restaurant. "Well I wasn't lying. My parents made me live in Texas so no one can come after me in that realm. The people hated my father, and here no one knew him. Were in Texas, angel."
Texas. Wasn't Texas supposed to be hot? Like, always?
"Yes and no" Aziz explained reading my mind. "It's more humid towards the gulf, but up here it's not as bad." He said as he did a right turn. I watched as he did several other turns before finding a parking spot for something. I'm not entirely what is going on. There are many people and they are holding some food and toys.
"Where are we?" I ask looking over at him. He puts the c at in park and unbuckles his seatbelt.
He placed his lips on mine and then moved to my ear, but he didn't kiss my ear instead he said "we are at a carnival"
