A Miraculous Fanfic

Long lost love

Chat Noir reached for Ladybug's hand. Ladybug's earrings beeped, two spots left. He grabbed her hand and wouldn't let go, forcing her to stay. She looked at him and squeezed his hand,

"I'll stay" she said and smiled.

A flicker of indecision flashed across Chat's face as his own ring beeped. Two dots for Ladybug, but one pad for Chat Noir. Chat Noir de-transformed. Ladybug stared at him. Her earrings beeped once more. Only one spot left.

"Hi" Adrien said.

Ladybug was still in shock. She then detransformed too, unaware, and fell over. But, just in time, Adrien caught her, looking at Marinette with a shocked expression.

"Marinette??" Adrien gasped.

"I... uh... Adrien!" Marinette sputtered, "you-you're Chat Noir!"

"Yeah, and your Ladybug!" Adrien laughed and smiled.

Marinette "Eep"ed , which he took as "Yes"

" Are you upset it was me?" Adrien asked sadly, "You always seem awkward when you're around me, it makes me think... you don't like... me?"

"Upset? Why would I be upset? Adrien, I've always loved you" she said lovingly.

Adrien has always loved Marinette too, but he just hadn't realized it yet.

"I... love you too," Adrien said, surprised at the words flowing out of his mouth. He couldn't stop them, but knew what he said was the truth. "I've been wanting to tell Ladybug-you- that I loved you. But you've always left, and I hadn't had the chance. But I love you, Marinette, I really do."

He moved closer to her. Marinette moved closer to Adrien. They embraced into a kiss. Only for a short, sweet second, because the dreaded Chloe walked up the stairs onto the roof of the hotel.

"MARINETTE!!!" She screamed then added, "Adrikins! What are you doing with HER!"

"I love her," Adrien replied, lightly grasping Marinette's hand.

"You . . . you . . ." Chloe trailed off, shock and betrayal dancing across her features. Then she turned tail and fled.

Adrien reached a hand out after his childhood friend, but she was gone.

"I hope she doesn't get akumatized," Marinette muttered.

"Yeah, me too." Adrien chuckled half-heartedly.

The duo stayed up there on the roof for a few more minutes, simply soaking in the feeling of being together, finally.

After some time, Adrien stretched, not unlike a cat, and offered a hand to his lady. She took it, hopping to her feet.
