I woke up to the sound of my mother's singing.

Damn, she really needs to stop singing. I think it affects her cooking.

I pulled my duvet over my head to try and block the sound off. I, however, had no such luck. I gave up after a few hopeless tries. I stumbled my way to the kitchen where momma was making breakfast. Well, trying to *evil laugh*.

"Morning love, how are you this morning Alina?", asked mom.

"Hey momma, I'm good." God, what is she making. I better escape while I can. "um mom, I'm not hungry. I'll just be in my room" - "Okay honey" exclaimed mom.

I went back upstairs to my room and started watching an episode of Witches of East End. What a load of bullpoop.

Okay so, my name is Alina Grey and I am 16 years old. My mom, brother and I live in Seattle, my dad passed away a month ago. We don't know how. Mom and I are witches, we have tried to find out how by using many different enchantments and rituals, but we can't seem to have any luck. We just burnt some fresh sage and wished him well in the afterlife. We miss him. My brother isn't a witch, there is

no such thing as male witches. I haven't come across any vampires, but my friend Talita is a werewolf.

Anyway, I start 11th grade tomorrow. 'Nervous' is probably the biggest understatement ever, I'm going to a new school, its the same school as Talita. I guess thats an upside. It's a school for supernatural beings, so it should be interesting.

The day passed by quickly, I got into bed. I stayed awake or quite some time before I felt the realm of sleep tugging at my consciousness.
