TAEHYUNG'S head rolled back on his shoulders, neck giving out some overly satisfying cracks. his eyes fluttered closed with a soft sigh, the rose-tinted sunset washing over his skin, blending to mix a golden washed coral all over his body, hair an exception as it seemed almost completely black in the quickly fading light. twisted shadows crawled over his frame, wrapping around him in the shape of window-frames. he loved the twilight.

his eyes fluttered open, golden speckled irises flitting from place to place in the darkened room, gazing softly at the wall that was once white, a watercolour of dusted-pink and lilac staining the wall and everything against it. taehyung swore he could have been dreaming, either that or in a euphoric state of reverie, a hazy reality that wasn't quite real, nor was it fake. a dream of far away worlds.

however, he was snapped back to reality when pressure was pushed against his upper arm, a warmth wrapping around his left side. he looked down, a smile tugging at the sides of his lips as he watched his boyfriend wriggle at his side, his thumb in his mouth.

taehyung didn't mind that jeongguk still sucked his thumb, nor did he mind a lot of things about the younger boy. he didn't mind when his mind rode to far off places and he became unresponsive, and he didn't mind it when he had panic attacks and used taehyung as a way to calm down; he didn't even mind that some days he wouldn't speak at all. his heart belonged to jeongguk and he knew it. there was no denying that taehyung belonged to jeongguk, as did jeongguk to him. they knew that, and so did everyone else.

taehyung turned onto his side, muscles aching with exhaustion as he cradled the younger boy in front of him. it had been a while since he saw jeongguk sleep peacefully, and he worried that he hadn't in a while. his eyes had been hollow lately and taehyung wanted them to swirl with the life that they did before. taehyung's eyes looked over the features of the latter, like he had so many times, tracing his finger over them in the air. he knew jeongguk's face like the back of his hand; every dip, every curve, every freckle and every expression. taehyung smiled to himself, cheeks pushing up and his eyes creasing, putting his palm against jeongguk's cheek gently.

he was surprised when jeongguk's eyes opened, although he struggled to, a soft sigh passing through his lips. jeongguk's lips closed around his thumb securely, and taehyung chuckled breathlessly, relishing in the moment; jeongguk's face washed in the warm blush of the dying sunlight. his doe eyes hooded, though still sparkling - twinkling constellations dotting them. taehyung ran his thumb across jeongguk's cheekbone, the younger smiling right back at him.

taehyung leant forward, his hand sliding down to the small of jeongguk's back as he slotted their lips together ever so gently. taehyung pushed lightly, finding jeongguk's lips so plush and warm. he swiped his tongue across jeongguk's bottom lip smiling widely.

strawberry. it was always strawberry.

taehyung had gotten used to jeongguk tasting of strawberry, it being another thing about him that he just loved. no matter where or when he kissed jeongguk - and that was a lot - there was always a strong taste of strawberry. jeongguk insisted that taehyung himself tasted of vanilla, their flavours mingling and fusing together perfectly to create a sickly sweet mixture that somewhat resembled strawberry cheesecake, but taehyung thought otherwise.
