During the day it was almost quiet and by night it was a roaring lively city, it was known for its art culture and its cuisine, it was undoubtedly the birth place of jazz. It was the one city I never thought I would find myself in, there was a lot I still didn't quite understand but the determination I felt to find out grew like a craving. I stood gazing out of the window framed in gold and watched people walk by in their own little worlds talking, laughing, messing with each other. It brought back memories I thought I'd lost a long time ago; they were all I had left of the ones I loved. A long time ago there was a boy I once considered a friend and throughout our time together we grew to do everything together, he gave me hope in ways I didn't think was possible and I grew fond of him. I would be lying if I said there wasn't a time where I didn't trust anyone because I trusted him. I trusted him enough to meet my family and I soon came to regret it. I lost everything that fatal night, we suffered an uprise within our home and within our people. It was led by that one person I trusted, the boy who claimed to be my friend.
It was a complete blood bath and I'd lost myself within the battle, I was the last of my name and there was nothing more I could do. My family and I had lost each other in the mist of the battle but when it was all over, when it was time for the heartache and pain to take its toll, it was made known by the chants that it was led by the rival pack. Our rivals searched the house from top to bottom within all that was broken, they wanted to make sure the Salvatore bloodline had perished but I was the only one to survive, or so I thought. It felt like a prison I couldn't break from, my own personal hell until it just stopped one night. The pain stopped and I very quickly realised why, they didn't expect it to go so well.
I spent the most part of my life within those walls fighting for my life but, I wasn't the only one there, they had done this to three others, all who were taken from their families. We had no one but each other for a long time until we would be pinned against each other, it was the fight for who was the best and who would carry out the missions. I had seemed to loose track of the time I spent there, it was almost like a switch they knew how to turn off. Some have said that I couldn't feel anything, that's why I kept the letters from others, to try and feel anything.
