our beginning

Chapter 1

Kara and mon-el are still living in national city, they have moved into their own home in a small neighbourhood still close the city and the Deo.

Alex, Maggie and Eliza have just come to see their new home.

"Right next to a school" Maggie commented

"Yeah, I sometimes help the lollie pop lady, you know as supergirl" Kara replied with a smile, mon-el wrapping his arm around her waist.

"Umm" Eliza replied popping her head up.

"Oh no." Kara replied

"Kara I see the way you look at the kids when they walk back from school with their parents and the way you interact with them" Alex told everyone

Kara blushed. They said their final good byes and headed home. As Kara and mon-el walked inside. Their neighbour walked up to them with her young girl.

"Kara, Mike i'm so glad I could catch you" she said

"Hey, how was school Lilly" Kara asked the young girl.

"Good" she replied with a smile.

"What can I help you with" mike asked the mum.

"I totally forgot the Lilly's parent teacher interview was tonight and I have no one to watch her, so I was wondering if you could?" Lilly's mother asked

Mike and Kara looked at each other.

"Sure Shelly. What time" Kara asked

"Um is from 5-7 ok? I'll bring her over to you and pick her up when I have finished" Shelly replied

"Yeah that's fine" Kara replied "See you soon Lilly" Kara said waving at the young girl.

Mon-el and Kara walked back inside and decided that they needed to clean up a little if a young girl was coming over.

As Kara was washing the dishes Mon-el came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Everything's done bar this, why don't you use your super abilities so we can sit down before Lilly come's over" Mon-el asked his Girlfriend.

"I can just leave it here because we are going to need to have dinner earlier or we could just have it after Lilly leaves" Kara asked

"Its up to you but I want to sit down with you" Mon-el said basically pulling Kara away from the sink, walking over to the couch and sitting down as Kara laid her head on his lap as they watched the TV.

As they were watching TV Mon-el turned to Kara. "Are you ok?" He asked her

"Yeah why?" She asked

"Kara, since your mum, Alex and Maggie left saying 'oh there's a school across the road' you have being acting kind strange" Mon-el asked Kara

"It's nothing i'm going to have a shower before Lilly come's over" Kara said getting up, but was pulled back down.

"Hey, I remember when you said that you wanted to give us a try you felt venerable when things came down to you, so what is it?" Mon-el asked

Kara sighed "I don't know I love my job, I love being super and I love having you in my life I just" Kara started "My mother didn't send me to earth to have a family and a house with a white fence, she sent me hear because she knew that I would do great things and would be able to save a lot of people" Kara continued

"Hey, babe your mother would want you to be happy, I want you to be Happy" Mon-el said giving Kara a kiss on the forehead. "Now you wanted a shower?" Mon-el asked getting up taking Kara with him to their bathroom.

5 pm came round, Kara and Mon-el were in the kitchen preparing their dinner, when there was a knock at the door, Kara walked to the front door allowing them in.

"Thank you for doing this on such short notice again" Shelly thanked Kara

"Oh its not a problem" Kara said "Hey Lilly what do you have their?" Kara asked Lilly. Lilly hugged the little object.

"Supergirl" Lilly said quietly. Kara looked up at Shelly. "Oh she loves super girl" Shelly explained

"I tell you what, if you go sit down with Mike I can tell you a story on how i've met her and done and interview with her" Kara explained to Lilly sounding exciting

"Really?" Lilly asked Kara nodded and Lilly quickly walked over to mike where he was sitting on the couch reading a book.

"thank you I hope I won't be too long" Shelly replied

"It's ok, so has she had everything, does she like ice cream?" Kara asked

"Oh no ice-cream maybe a cookie and milk" Shelly explained

"Ok no worries" Kara said and let Shelly out so she could go to the parent teacher interview.

Kara walked over to Lilly and Mon-el who were sitting on the couch, Lilly telling Mon-el how Kara new Supergirl.

"I didn't know that Kara new supergirl" Mon-el said looking up at Kara.

"Shh he's not meant to know but it's ok, because Supergirl told me that she knows him and has saved him before" Kara told Lilly.

"Really, what is she like?" Lilly asked as Kara sat down on the couch.

"Well she is very nice and doesn't take any credit, she definitely loves helping people " Mon-el said praising his girlfriend.

"And when we meet up she tells the truth but we also have some girly conversations" Kara told Lilly

"Can I meet her?" Lilly asked

"I might be able to arrange something" Kara told Lilly.

"Ok" Lilly replied

"So what do you want to do?" Kara asked Lilly shrugged she shoulders

"Umm ok what do you normally do at this time?" Kara asked

"Well I normally have dinner but i've already had that" Lilly explained

"Ok, did you want to watch me and mike cook our dinner and maybe you can read to us?" Kara asked

"Yeah, can I help?" Lilly asked

"We might be able to give you something to do," Kara said helping Lilly off the couch putting her on the seat that closes to the bench. Mon-el got up and went into the kitchen finishing off what they had started before.

"So all we need to do is start cooking this and then it should be ready," Kara explained to Lilly
