Okay everyone! So this is my first story posted on here. I'm not really fond of sharing things I write, but I have to get over that some time right?

So the characters in this story are real people. Josh and Andrew really are my coworkers. Beth really is my boss. Hannah really is my awesome friend. I'm going to try and base the story characters off the real people as close as I can. So...

HERE WE GO!

As she walked into the shop, she sighed as the air conditioning hit her face. The heavy, stifling Georgia heat weighed down on her like a hundred extra pounds in her book bag. She pushed her sunglasses up onto her head and shook her ponytail off neck. Josh and Andrew sat behind the counter watching BMX videos on YouTube. She smiled and rolled her eyes. This was nothing new and the reason she carried her brick of a laptop the mile from home to the shop in this godforsaken heat. Three people need three computers.

"Good morning boys," she said as she walked through the curtains with a depiction of Shiva on them. She smiled and shook her head as they both make some noise to show they had heard her. She walked behind the counter and looked at the video before setting her bag down and pulling out her laptop. "So where's Beth this morning? It's Thursday and she has two appointments."

The boys ignored her as they watched some guy fail a jump and hit the ground hard. As she turned her computer on, the phone rang. She answered it quickly and was immediately bombarded with a shrill voice asking about caring for piercings. She rolled her eyes as she answered the, in her mind, stupid questions. She got off the phone with a fake smile on her face and dropped it in the receiver. She growled as it rang again. As she made an appointment for a tattoo, Josh and Andrew left the main computer and went outside. As she sat down to do the filing for the day, the phone rang a third time.

"Thank you for calling Tiki Tattoo. This is Alyse. How can I help you?"

"You sound like a voice recording! It's so cool!" She smiled as she heard her shop owner's voice.

"Hey Beth! What's up?" She pressed the phone in between her ear and shoulder and began to type as she pulled out the calendar.

"I just wanted to see what appointments I had for today so I'm not late."

"Let me see here," she stalled as she opened the calendar to the day. "You have a one hour sit at 3 PM and a four hour sit at 6:30 PM. Other than those two, you're clear and open. But tomorrow you're booked back to back from 1 PM to close."

"At least tomorrow is going to be a good day," she sighed. "Who's coming in today?"

"Your 3 PM is a guy named John Malcolm. You've tattooed him before and your 6:30 is Paul. He has a new design and I think you're gonna love it!" Beth laughed into the phone so hard, it startled Alyse and she dropped the phone.

"Well I'll be there in about twenty minutes," she said as Alyse picked up the phone. "Do we need anything for the shop?" Alyse jumped up and did a quick inventory of the necessities and replied.

"Paper towels, toilet paper and your drinks," Alyse replied. "Everything else can wait until tomorrow or Ricky can pick things up later."

"I'm pulling into the store parking lot now," Beth replied. "I'll grab the things we need and head over."

"See you when you get here Beth."

As she rung up the phone, the door opened and the boys walked back in with a customer. As the boys discussed a tattoo idea and prices, a woman walked up to the counter. As Alyse and the customer had a small girl-time chat, the boys switched the topic from tattoos to BMX. The customer said he was a BMX rider and had his bike in the bed of his truck and everything male in the room rushed down the stairs to that truck.
