Kabanata 10: No Escape

Vlad's POV

When my sources told me that Gab will transfer in this academy, I didn't have any second thoughts to follow her. I want to guard her. I don't want her to be out of my radar. I know that she could handle herself. I know that she's strong enough to fight on her own and she doesn't need a protector. But I want to be the one who will protect her. To be her shield and her bullet proof. I know for a fact that Gab has a soft heart. She's willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of others. I hate it when she think like that. She's so selfless—the reason of why I love her even more than I could ever imagine. When I knew that she lost her memories. My heart breaks once again. It fucking hurts when she forgot our memories together just like that.

The serenity of the night made me calm. Napatingala ako sa bilog na bilog na buwan sa kalangitan. The magnificent mandala of the sky reminds me of Gab. She's willing to die in the day just to let the sun shines for all the life forms on earth. Handa siyang magsakripisyo para sa ikakabuti ng lahat.

Plano ko na sanang bumalik ngunit nakarinig ako ng mga yapak. What would be the person's motive to go out in the middle of the night? I was intrigued by the footsteps I heard. Nakuha nito ang atensyon ko at nagpalinga-linga ako sa paligid. I followed the noise I heard and there, I found Gab. Walang pasubaling sinundan ko siya. I don't want something bad will happen to her.

"I could feel you. Stop hiding. You're being a coward." rinig kong sabi niya.

I am not surprised. Gab has sharp instincts. Madali siyang makaramdam. Maybe because she's trained like that. Bago pa siya lumingon sa akin at makita ako ay yinakap ko na siya mula sa likod. I hugged her like a delicate flower. God! How I missed my girl.

"I missed you, Gab..." I whispered on her ear.

Naramdaman ko ang bahagyang panginginig niya. I'm sorry for frightening you baby, I just fuckin' miss you.

"W-who are y-you?" she stuttered.

"Ssssshhh... let's just stay like this for a while."  I just said to her.

Matapos ang sandaling iyon ay pinakawalan ko na siya. I disappeared just like bubbles disappeared in the air. Ayoko munang makita niya ako. I can't stand watching her watching me like she doesn't know me.

" Who did that to you, Val?" I asked my brother.

Ngayon ko lang napansin ang peklat sa kanyang mukha. A mischevous grin plastered on her face.

" Let's just say na gagawan ito ng isang babaeng palaban." aniya habang marahang hinahawakan ang peklat sa kanyang mukha.

My brows furrowed.

" What do you mean?"

" Nothin', bro. Just some random clever girl in this hellish academy. " sabi niya bago umalis.

I have a hint of whom he was referring to. I know my twin. He will do anything just to get what he wants. Even if that means killing someone.

Time blew like we never knew. That dumbass robotic teacher Odd just said earlier that we will have a fucked up activity.

" Did you know what I am thinking right now? " she said.

I looked at her beside me only to find out that she's creepily smiling at me. Oh my sweet, Gab. Napangiti na rin ako.

" I deciphered it a while ago. I'm just waiting until you figured it out. " I said.

I saw how her expression change. Halatang medyo nainis siya ng dahil sa sinabi ko.
