One Year later

Everything had pretty much gone back to normal at the Singer residence. Sam and Dean had become closer now that Faith was gone. They now took Ellen and Jo with them on hunts. They hadn't seen Castiel since Lucifer and they didn't want to either. It just brought back memories that neither of them wanted to remember. It was a Wednesday in September; Sam, Dean, Ellen, and Jo were out on a hunt. It was just Bobby and Ash at the house. Suddenly, the upstairs started to rumble. Bobby looked at Ash who took out his gun. They walked out of the kitchen and walked towards the stairs. The rumbling had stopped and they heard footsteps upstairs. Bobby had his holy water out and a silver knife.

"Dean! Sam! Cass! Bobby!" The voice they heard was a voice that they thought they would never hear again. Suddenly, Faith appeared at the top of the stairs. Her image, however, was chilling. The red dress that she last wore had decreased in length. Instead of it looking like a ball gown, it now looked like a cocktail dress. The corset top of it was cut and stained with blood. Her legs were a surgeon's worse nightmare. One of the bones in her right leg was sticking out. She had no shoes on and her body was bruised and cut. However, in her right hand was her angel blade.

"Faith," Bobby asked. She walked halfway down the stairs, but stopped when she saw what they were holding.

"Let me save you from doing this," she said. She took her angel blade and cut her arm slightly. Instead of blood, a white light seeped out from the wound. "See? Nothing, but grace and essence," she said. Ash and Bobby shook their heads and she healed herself. She walked to the bottom of the stairs. Bobby and Ash had backed up from her and didn't know what to think. Suddenly Bobby threw his holy water that was mixed with salt onto her. She gasped and stumbled backwards. "Really," she asked. She snatched the silver knife from Bobby and cut herself with it. "See? It's still grace," she said. She threw the knife on the ground and healed herself. Bobby stepped forward and hugged her tightly.

"It's really good to see you," he said.

"Yeah you too," she replied. He let go of her so she could hug Ash. She hugged him lightly, afraid that she might break his scrawny body.

He let her go and laughed, "I was sure you would come back sooner or later. You Winchesters always do."

"How did you come back," Bobby asked.

"I don't know. The last thing I remember was falling in that cage and next thing I know I'm in my room. Where's Sam and Dean," she asked.

"Out hunting a vampire nest; Ellen and Jo are with them," Bobby answered.

"Where's Cass," she asked.

Bobby sighed, "We haven't seen Cass for a year."

"Wait, a year? How long have I been gone?"

"A year," Ash answered.

Faith took a second to regroup, "So I've been in the cage for a year with Michael and Lucifer?"

Bobby nodded his head, "Yes." She went up to her room to clean herself up. She fixed up her legs and cleaned up all the scratches and bruises. She put her gear and heels on and then came downstairs. She sat down at the kitchen table.

"How long until they come home," she asked.

"Actually, they should be home any minute," Bobby answered. As soon as he said that, they heard the Impala pulling up. "Stay here," Bobby said, "If they see you first, they'll react the way Ash and I did when we first saw you." Bobby and Ash walked to the door and opened it.

"I'm glad that's over," Dean said, "awe, isn't this nice? A welcoming committee?" Ellen, Jo, and Sam laughed, but Bobby interrupted them.

"Before you see her you need to know." Ash was standing in front of Faith so she couldn't see anything. "We tested her; salt, silver, holy water, everything. This is really her," Bobby said.

"What the hell are you talking about Bobby," Sam asked. Bobby and Ash looked at each other and stepped aside revealing Faith. She smiled at her brothers who looked at her in surprise.

"Hey guys," she said. She walked outside so that she was in front of them. Sam looked at Dean who had his mouth open. Sam and Dean walked towards their sister and hugged her. The three of them were together again. Dean hugged her and lifted her off the ground. He spun her in circles and kissed her forehead. He put her down and put his hand on her head. He stroked her hair and breathed in her scent. He had missed this the most. Faith walked passed Sam and stepped towards Jo. Sam didn't understand why she ignored him. Jo came up and hugged her best friend. Ellen joined in too. Everyone then released Faith and stepped back. Faith noticed that Sam's hair had gotten longer and Dean's hair had gotten to a browner gold tint.

"But how," Sam asked.

"I don't know. One second I fell in the cage and then next I was in my room. I don't remember who pulled me out, I don't remember being in the cage and I don't remember where I put my angel blade. Let's go inside," she suggested. All of them went inside. Faith went on the search for her blade which turns out that it was in her room the whole time. She returned to the kitchen to find everyone in there. They all wanted to talk to her about what happened. She sighed and sat down at the table and laughed, "Ok, shoot. What do you wanna know?"

"How the hell are you here with us right now," Sam asked.

"I don't know," she replied.

"You know that does raise a sticky question; who pulled you out and why," Bobby said.

"You make it sound as if it's a bad thing that she's been pulled out," Ellen contemplated.

"It's not that we're not happy that she's back, it's just the fact that she's been in the cage for a year and suddenly she's here and has no clue who pulled her out," Dean said.

"It was God," someone said behind them. Faith turned in her chair to find Cass. He was standing behind her wearing the same clothes that he always wore. Faith got up out of her seat and leaped into his arms. He gripped her tight and lifted her off her feet. "I've missed you so much," he said. She pulled back and looked at his face. She absorbed his blue eyes, his clear complexion, and most of all his love for her. She kissed him lightly. Dean laughed and pulled Jo close. She smiled and kissed Dean the way she had always wanted to.

Then, Bobby pulled Ellen towards him and she laughed, "Don't tell me you're going to kiss me."

"Oh shut up," Bobby replied and he kissed her. It was a beautiful moment, except for Ash and Sam. The two of them looked at each and shrugged. It wasn't their fault that they were alone. They just haven't found the right person yet.
