"How's the school coming up?"
"The main building is completed, except for the wirings for the electric works, is not done yet, Mr. Kim. For the computer supplies, it's at the warehouse, currently loading them into the transport trucks. Once done, the trucks are on it's way here."
"The books? The teachers?"
"The books will be transported once the computers, internets are set up. The interviews are going to be held next week. There were a lot of applicants, the last time I checked."
I nodded at my trusted secretary, Hyunwoo. I asked for my schedules from Hyunwoo and he began reciting my schedules. Hyunwoo went off leaving me doing my work in my office.
"Alright thank you, wait for me at the lobby at 2. We will head outside of Seoul, an hour away. I need to meet Mr. Song, for the new project I'm planning to do."
"But what about the Spelling Bee Competition? You are supposed to present the Grand Award later?"
"Send a memo to the vice, to stand in for me. We are off to meet Mr. Song. No questions." Hyunwoo proceed to make call to the vice.
"Mr. Kim, it's a pleasure to seal a business with you! Thank you for proposing such ideas in developing this area, especially for the kids here. Exapanding their knowledge, giving them easier access to books and internet." Mr Song extended his hand for me to shake.
"Mr. Song, I am honoured that I am able to help the children here. I believe, we are all priviledge to earn knowledge. Poor or rich. No boundaries in between." I replied, giving the most professional smile I could display.
"Thank you again, Mr Kim, I am glad this land of mine, can be used for a better purpose." With that, we shook our hands, before he walked off, disappearing from my sight.
My phone rang a few minutes later, while I was arranging my schedule with my secretary. Pressing the green button, I placed the phone against my ear.
"Namjoon! Aren't you supposed to be here, presenting the award?" Taehyung yelled into my ear. I pulled the phone away distancing the phone against my ear due to the loud noise on the other side of the phone, accompanied by Taehyung's yell.
"Yes Tae? I mean no, I am not attending the Spelling Bee Challenge. I left it for my Vice to take over."
"What do you mean? It's your nephew big day!" Taehyung left out a sighed before continuing, "It's okay, but please turn up for dinner tonight?"
"I will try, Taehyung. I am one hour away from town. I'll be there, for Jitae."
"Good, don't mess this up. He's hoping to meet you!"
"I am sorry that I am late again; and yes, check your bank accounts." I raised my brows, giving out a long sighed after.
"Thank you for coming, Namjoon." Taehyung told me. Pulling out the chair beside Jimin, I sat down comfortably.
"How was your contract signing, Namjoon?" Jimin started, as I began unfolding the napkin and placed it on my lap. The others were busy chatting with each other.
"It was great, I got it again!" I replied, smiling at him, giving the most sincere smile I can give. Patting my back, Jimin smiled at me. I thanked him for asking, I was actually thanking him for being understanding.
It hurts knowing that she now no more beside me, being my vitamin. I miss her the most these days especially seeing Taehyung and Hoseok, enjoying their times with their family. The pain in my heart that only she can cure. It felt like bits and pieces of my heart felt apart. The happiness that I've cherished all these while was replaced by hollowness, and sorrow. It felt like she brought my heart together with her.
A year. A year of pain, missing her.
Where are you?
"Thank you for the food!" Jimin thanked Seokjin for the wonderful food he served.
"Not a problem at all!" He replied. We then, say our goodbyes with each other before heading out from the room.
Seeing Jimin on his way heading out from the door, I called him. He paused, turning his heels to face me as I was walking towards him. Rubbing the back of my neck, I was hesitant.
"Yes, brother?"
"I was thinking, could you give me a lift back home; since yours is along the way too?" I grinned before continuing, "— I sort of, telling my chauffeur to take the night off, because of the long day we had."
"Oh, no need to explain, just tell me, I am glad I can help you." He said, shooting his full teeth smile. Placing my hand on my shoulder, he gestured me to go.
"We shall go now! I am sending Namjoon home and head home myself!" Jimin announced loudly, before they waved their hands towards us.
I was talking to Jimin when I saw a familliar figure at the corner of my eyes. I stopped my track, as I turned my body involuntarily, facing her direction. She was wearing a bodycon knee length red dress, acompanied with black strap stilettos, with a short hair halfway reaching her shoulders.
She looks like her!
Lynnia. My diamond.
The girl I've been missing for the past year. Oddly, she looked different. She looked sophisticated, with a silver clutch in her hand. She looks elegant, and self composed.
Unknowingly, I rushed towards her, knocking off a few waitresses along the way, making a few customers flinched, surprised. Plates, and utensils dropping, to the floor. Not mention, some of the plates filled with food, dropped to the floor, dirtying the floor.
She was on her way to bar, I assume, I grabbed her wrist.
Astounded by my action, she jolted, and turned her head facing me. Knitting her brows, she looked at me, confused was evident in her face.
I smirked at her when she about about to utter her words.
"Nice to see you again, wife."
"Excuse me? Wife? Do I look like I'm married?"
I was baffled by her replied. It felt like my Lynnia is not presence in her. She looks the same, but it is 100 percent, that is not her.
"You are lying, aren't you? I am sorry Lynnia. I am sorry." I took her into embrace, hugging her tightly. She pushed me away and hit me using her clutch.
"How did you know my name? I am sorry, I don't know who you are. I just got here a week ago. I know no one in Korea." She snapped.
"It's me, Kim Namjoon!" I told her.
"I am sorry, but excuse me."
I was left puzzled. My shoes were buried in the floor, making me froze, watching her walked away. I heard nothing but only her heels clicking the floor.
