On my first day to Lakeview High, I decided to wear tight black skinny jeans and brown suede Chanel heeled boots with a black button down shirt. My shoulder length black hair was curled at the edges and my emerald green eyes were lined with silver, giving them a pop of color.

Being a demon, more specifically a succubus, is hard, and before you get your panties into a bunch, I’m not the creepy come into your dreams succubus, nope: I’m the soul eating kind. Whenever I corrupt a soul or an event causes someone to do something horrible, I sign his or her soul up for immediate departure to Hell. And when there time comes, I give them a kiss, sucking their soul out. I know, sounds really gross, but it’s actually quite pleasant for the person having their soul taken.

My father is Lucifer, king of Hell, and my mother is Syllis, descendant of the first succubus, Lilith. Being their daughter can be hard sometimes; constant bickering, reputations to uphold, and awkward family dinners. So being the smart person my mother is, she decided to let me live with my aunt, her sister, Seraphim, so that I could learn how to be a succubus and redeem my soul. So at the ripe age of fifteen, I left my home in Hell, to move into Auntie’s mansion.

I was suddenly pulled out of my musings by a vibration. Looking down I noticed my shadow necklace swinging back and fourth on its own accord. That meant there was a supernatural being near. I hopped off my black Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, looking around for the source.

My perusal was stopped by the most beautful human male I'd ever seen, and I'd seen alot in my lifetime. Over by the entrance to the junior parking lot he stood. He had a strong jaw and lips that seemed to be turned upward into a smirk. He had perfectly disheveled blonde hair and as my eyes traveled down the length of his athletic body, I figured he had muscled arms and ripped abs underneath his purple sweatshirt. He looked like a god…a godly looking human.

I pulled myself out of the daze I had fallen into, to see him staring curiously at me with dark blue eyes. I quickly turned away, rage flowing through me as I tugged off my helmet and grabbed my bag. He was human, just a toy to play with, and nothing more. But if I had known that he would become a terrible problem, that I would fall in love with the one thing I wasn’t allowed to, I would’ve taken his soul right then and there.

“Would you like to introduce yourself to the class Ms. Halliwell?” Ms. Pacino asked, smiling widely at me.

Not really, I thought, but I stepped away from the classroom door anyways.

“Hello, my name is Ember Halliwell, junior, resident rebel, and in this town for reasons I don’t know why,” I sighed dramatically.

The class chuckled, the cheerleaders grudgingly smiling at my humor, and the jocks giving me appreciative looks. But the beautiful boy I had seen in the morning was the one that caught my attention. He sat staring at me intently, a smirk sliding onto his face when his eyes made contact with mine. I looked away.

“Yes, well thank you for coming to our school Ember, we are glad to have you,” Ms. Pacino said with a strained smile.

I smirked over at her before striding down the lab aisle and plopping down in a chair near the front.

Gasps filled the room, people glancing at me in shock.

“What?” I snapped, turning to glare at the nearest person.

A blond girl with wire rimmed glasses and braces leaned forward, “That’s the popular’ seats, no one ever sits there.”

“Well now I’m sitting here, they can find somewhere else to sit,” I snorted, rolling my eyes at the hilarious notion that a mere human could scare me.
