Adorable | Child! Edd x Child! Reader

You were in the sandbox all happy and giddy as you can be. You made sandcastles and made your car toys roll over the sand and making it fly, repeating over and over again. You were doing great until you felt as if the ground was shaking with huge stomps, even your toys were slightly jumping.

"Hey twerp!" A kid, with a slightly deep voice snapped at you. You hesitantly looked up and froze as you saw three kids tower over you. One, was full of dark green, the person who snapped at you earlier. The other, having an ass for a chin. And the last, who seemed like he didn't want any harm but was pushed into this anyway.

"Wh-what do you w-want..?" I stammered, not wanting to get hit.

"The sanbox! It's ours!" He exclaims flailing his arms over the air. You snort and let out a loud laugh as the three became confused.

"Ha! This doesn't even have your name on it!" You wheezed out, dusting off only a small amount of sand to reveal your name on the sanbox, "(Y/N) (L/N)" with a permanent marker. You looked at the dark green kid, he looked so pissed.

He lunged his fists without a word, and you easily dodged, aware he would do that. You throw your fists back at him but he ducked down before you even hit him. He punched you in the gut afterwards.

The punch must be really strong since that you actually went flying back into a nearby wall. Feeling as though a pair of arms were around you as your vision went blurry. Your head pounded and you felt your heart pounding through your chest. You tried to examine the person who is holding you but it only came out as colors. A lighter shade of green. Soon enough, a purple and blue color came by and you felt as if you were lifted. You gave up and finally gave in, and there you passed out.

~Time Skip~

You slowly opened your eyes to a white filled room.. well not too white. Your eyes were a bit taken aback but soon adjusted with a few blinks. Now realizing the room you were in, it was the School's clinic. Feeling a headache, you put your hands on your forehead and your face scrunched up. But the pain soon subsided and you laid there calmly on the clinic's bed.

"Feeling any better?" A voice erupts from beside me and you immediately looked at the boy beside you. He looked a lot alike from that guy earlier but you decided to shrug it off. His blouse being the same color as the color on your vision. He warmly smiles, waiting for your answer and you smile back.

"Yeah.. I'm still having these pains in my head but it isn't too serious.. I think it's called a headache..?" You said, the last part out more to yourself. The boy shrugged and the both of you sat there for awhile.

"What's your name?" You ask breaking the silence. The boy gleamingly smiled and took out his hand. "I'm Edd! Nice to meet you!" He exclaims excited.

You smile back and shook his hand, "(Y/N). (Y/N) (L/N)."

Things started to escalate after that. Both you and Edd were close friends, you even met his two buddies, Tom and Matt. When the four of you grew up Edd had the courage to ask you on a date. You happily accepted his offer and the two of you were the cutest couple in the house.

Even the smallest details can have a big impact on your life. Surprising isn't it?

~BONUS, Years Later~

You squealed happily, and rather loudly as you had picked up an old picture from when you were younger. It was you and Edd on the old sandbox you used to play on. And where you first met Edd and the others.

Loud footsteps came running for your door and the door was knocked over. There you see Edd with a pan breathing heavily and looking angry.

"WHO IN THE FLUFF IS HURTING MY, (Y/-" You cut off his rage with a passionate kiss. You pulled back a few minutes later and handed the picture you saw earlier. Edd lowered his pan and gasps as he saw the picture, and he looks at you lovingly afterwards.

"Edd! Do you remember that!? We were so young! And soooo cute!" You squeked in happiness and he chuckles from your actions, which he thinks is adorable.

"You're still cute, (Y/N). I can't believe Eduardo did that to you when you were young but atleast you're okay now." He warmly smiles as he pulls you closer, wrapping his arm behind your waist.

"I love you, (Y/N)." He says as he then had a close-eyed smile, tilting his head to the side. He looked overly adorable you swore you could marry him here and now.

You giggle as you gave Edd a quick peck on the lips. "I love you too, Edd."
