Miss.Hema called us back in and we joined the rest of the lesson. I glanced at the clock every five minutes and wanted the time to fly by. It seemed as if the clock wasn't moving at all. Finally the bell rang and everybody charged outside. The rain had gone away and only puddles were left. As it was Friday Isha and I decided to cycle down to town to get some milkshakes. 'Did you get your umbrella?' Isha asked me. Realising that I had forgotten my umbrella in the stand outside the classroom, I ran back to get my umbrella. There was barely anyone there but then I saw a guy with a goofy smile waving at me. Liam. As I bent down to pick my umbrella up there was a tap on my back. Fury grew inside and I yelled, 'WHAT ON EARTH IS YOUR PROBLEM? CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE FOR A SECOND? WHENEVER YOU TRY TO TALK TO ME IT'S ALWAYS ME THAT HAS GOT TO SUFFER!' I turned around to see Miss.Hema struck in surprise. I blushed pink as I realised that I had screamed at the wrong person. She stood there trying to absorb everything I had just said. Just as she was about to speak, I started apologizing, she held her hand up in my face and then walked off.Great I just upset my teacher!
I took my umbrella and ran to my bike where Isha was waiting. I put the umbrella in the front basket of my bike and cycled in the rain careless of my curled hair. Isha and I rode side by side talking about the trip to Buftyn Rise tomorrow. "Have you packed your bags for tomorrow?" Isha asked me.
"Yes, I have packed what about you?". Isha nodded and cycled to go to the café in town. Agreeing to the idea we parked our cycles outside the café. We walked over to the counter and ordered our milkshakes. "What can I get for you today?" the lady at the counter asked.
"Strawberry and vanilla milkshake with extra sauce and sprinkles," Isha said to the lady.
"Chocolate fudge and brownie milkshake with toffee sauce please," I said handing over change. After ordering we walked over to a table near the window and sat down. I got out my phone and Isha got out her book and started hitting down notes from Geography. "It's nice isn't it," Isha said with a different tone in her voice. I nodded confusing. "Umm, Alya I have been wanting to tell you something for a while," she continued.
"Go on," I said edging towards her. A waiter walked carrying two tall glasses full of milkshake one in a pink shade another in a brown shade each looking incredibly delicious. "Thanks," I said pulling it closer towards me. Isha clinked her full glass with mine and said 'Cheers!' and we sipped away. The sweet taste made me forget about everything that I had needed to forget to make my life one bit less stressful. I tried to imagine all the fun that we would have on the trip tomorrow. Just as we walked out the café door I saw Liam and his group of friends surrounding the exit of the café. Honestly they were such idiots, why follow us around and get us in a mess if we were friends. "Alya!" he called as I got onto my bike. "What? Stop, look you trying to communicate with me is not working, because all you have done is made me shout at Miss.Hema and get ME in trouble! How about you just leave me alone and mind your own business?" I screamed. All the people around the café and shops turned to face us. Unable to look at his face for longer I left the scene.
