III :Don't Understand

I don't know what happened next,but I woke up,looking at that same ceiling I always look at everytime I woke up.

Don't tell me, am I in my bedroom?"

The feel of the sheets and the pillows were very familiar and the scent was so Jennie,so me. I guess I was happy I'm here but part of me wishes I just rotted in the rain so that I won't feel the pain of Jaebum leaving me without telling me why.

I sat on my bed and I was wearing a tshirt and a pajama. I guess mom changed me into some clothes,but I really don't know how I got back here in the first place. I heard several knocks on my door afterwards,and I'm guessing that's my mom.

"Come in" I said as a gesture to let her come in.

"Jennie,sweetie are you okay?" she said while she was still walking to my direction. She hugged me really tight and I hugged her back of course.

"What happened to you earlier?"she broke away from the hug and asked me about what happened to me. I could not answer. She started stroking my unkempt hair to straighten it.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it,but don't do that again sweetie. I'm worried about you"she said in a concerned tone of voice and hugged me again.

"Remember you can always talk to me about stuff" she said then smiled. I didn't see,but I can feel that she was smiling. I couldn't help but cry,I mean it was such a selfish act for me to just hurt myself like that when there are people like my mum in this world who cares about me. The back portion of her shirt soon had droplets of tears,which she probably felt,so she broke away from the hug and looked at me.

"Jennie, what's the matter?" she asked when she saw me crying. I wish I didn't cry in front of her.

"Jaebum. H-he b-broke up with m-me" I couldn't say those words properly as I just kept on sobbing. Mom looked surprised at my answer.

"That can't be" she said,looking very shocked at my revelation.

"I know I can't believe he could do this to me mom. After all those ye--"

"He dropped you off here." I was cut off when I heard my mom say that. Jaebum,dropped me off here?

"Jaebum took me back here?" I asked looking very shocked.

"Yes dear,he even told me to take care of you.He was just as wet as you so I told him to stay for a while but he said he should just go" Mom explained.

"He carried you all the way here because it seems as if you were unconscious and could not walk." mom said to me. I was shocked. I didn't know how to react. I mean,after he dumped me, he'd take me home and then tell my mom to take care of me?

Now what is that?

And how did he know I was still there? Did he really leave or did he just come back? I felt some sort of happiness rushing through my veins as a thought came into my head.

He still cares about me.

"But if he cares about me,he won't break up with me just like that"I said to mom.

"We all have our reasons sweetie. I know Jaebum won't just leave you for no reason." she said to me.

Me and mom talked about it for some time. I cried on her shoulder and she was there to listen to me and to give me advice and that was nice of her. After a while she went down to fix some comfort food for me.
