You’re dreaming, they said. Everything you have seen is only an illusion or a hallucination to trick your mind into seeing things. I knew what I was seeing was real not just a mind trick. The glass breaking, the fires I was seeing. No one believed me and they all claimed I was crazy. They thought I was nothing, a little piece of nothing as my dad would say. They said I was nothing to them and that night was a long one.

After the slamming doors, broken glass, fire, and the blood, that I had to clean up I was just done. Packing my bags for the fiftieth time, I looked at the pictures I had. The stories from back in the day when our enemies were enemies and our best friends were the people we could confide in. But that was kindergarten, when u would share something and immediately become best friends. These days you can’t confide in anyone, no is trust worthy or able to hold secrets. That’s what I was told, grew up knowing until sophomore year when something happened. That was the year of nightmares but there weren’t the scary ones, they were the beautiful nightmares and the ugly dreams.
