Papyrus walked happily, thinking over his good day. It was nice to meet that Mordue fellow. A bird flew past him, alighting on a feeder hanging from a flower shop overhang. He smiled, taking a moment to watch it. The sparrow trilled, looking at him, then flying toward him only to dive down into a box of rainbow carnations. He blinked, and smiled. He knew there were no such thing as "signs", but it was nice to pretend. He checked for anything indicating an anti monster establishment of the shop, then risked the trip through the door. When he wasn't met with shouts of indignation, he approached the counter. "EXC- Excuse me, does this store... Serve monster clients?" He remembered to use his quiet voice to address the girl at the counter. She nodded, smiling brightly. "How may I help you?" He paused, glancing around the store. He had come unprepared. "I'm not sure. I just thought it would be nice to buy some flowers. Anything you would recommend?" She smiled more, stepping around the counter. "Well, let's see what catches your eye! Follow me please~" She led him around, explaining flowers, colors, and meanings. It truly intrigued him, and he found himself hanging on her words. Maybe he should get into the flower business? Or start a garden. After all, King Asgore had one, and would be a wellspring of good advice for it. When it came to deciding, he eventually chose some vanilla marigolds dyed mixed blue and orange, some purple and blue violets, and baby's breath both white and dyed pink simply because it was unique. It was an odd bouquet, but pretty. The strange mix drew eyes, the striking colors standing out well against the common greys and greens of the street. When he reached home, he smiled at the wood cabin with snow still on the roof. He was still arguing with Sans about sweeping it off, but they didn't have a ladder and Sans was too lazy. He'd get a ladder next time. "hey bro. What's the occasion?" Sans asked as he entered. "There is no occasion, I simply wanted some flowers." Ah! There was a suitable vase! The black metal of the tin made the colors pop and stand out in the blue room, matching the wall paper but with enough pizzazz to draw the eye. Perfect! Sans grinned seeing Papyrus' smile. "good day at work, bro?"
"YES! A GREAT DAY, IN FACT! I MET A NEW CO-WORKER TODAY. HE'S VERY NICE, AND AN INCREDIBLY SKILLED BAKER! PLUS, HE'S ANOTHER TITLED LIKE MYSELF!! THE MAGNIFICENT MORDUE!" Sans chuckled. "so, he really takes the cake, huh?"
Papyrus began to nod, then groaned. "what? You know you love it, don't beat around the bush." Pap screeched, running into the kitchen. "Come on, Paps! I thought it was egg-celent!" Another scream. Sans laughed, easing off. "hey Paps, what's for dinner tonight?"
