Chapter 11: Baeo

  **Baeo's P.O.V**

I watched out the window as Sia walked off into the forest the strong need to be beside her washed over me in waves but she had told me to stay in the room and of course I'm going to listen to my princess. I have been by her side for 18 years and this is the first time we are apart the king told my parents that I was to stay with her no matter what and being the son of the king's beta I was to obey I never knew why I was given these orders but I never strayed from them until today, I just couldn't understand where she was going and why she took off the way she did but I gave her time especially with everything going on right now and trust me when I report to the king and queen they will be furious not only with me but with this pack. The sun began to set and still no sign of Sia returning every nerve in my body began to stand on end something just wasn't right she never stayed away for long, I started pacing back and forth from the window to the door waiting for her happy call but as night came she never returned and with that I shifted for the first time in a very long time back to human form, my black wavy hair was now down to my shoulders  it had definitely grown in the last 3 years thankfully I was still built as a warrior should be. I was thankful the room they had locked us in was the beta's old room and it still held the man's clothes, I quickly pulled on a pair of blue jeans and a black V-neck shirt and walked out of the room looking for the Alpha, if I was going to find Sia I would need help because I have no idea where we were, a few awkward stares and two floors later I found the kitchen where a young woman and a man were chatting away, when I entered they glanced my way stopping what they were doing and just stared at me like I was some kind of alien

"Um excuse me but I am looking for the alpha can you please help me?"

They glanced at each other than back at me the girl stood and quickly exited the room while the man studied me for a while longer

"I am the beta's son Dill what business do you have with the alpha?"

He looked calm but the look in his eyes said he was ready to fight if I made any wrong moves

"I can explain when I see him and please this is an emergency"

He processed what I said and with a nod he stood and walked away, not knowing what to do I followed close behind. He lead us to a door and knocked twice before entering

"Alpha this man needs to speak with you he said it was an emergency,"

The man named Dill moved to the side allowing me to walk further in

"Hello sir what can I help you with?"

The alpha leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed looking like he really didn't want to hear me out

"Hello sir my name is Barutheous Knight also known as Baeo I was brought here by your men with Allisia   Crest the princess and daughter of madam Jakylen and Sir Nikolus Crest our king and queen"

I placed my hand on my chest and bowed slightly before looking back up at the Alpha he looked shocked for a moment and then confused

"I do not remember a man being brought here only Sia and her companion?"

"You will address her highness as princess Allisia and I am her companion, I remained in wolf form to protect her as instructed by my king."

He stood marching over to me his anger growing more with each step he took, obviously someone did not like being told what to do

"How dare you come to my office and tell me what to do! What gives you that right mutt!"

I shook my head feeling annoyed with the man

"Honestly I do not have time for this if you want to go down this road with me then fine ,"

I stood tall and stared him in the eyes

" One your pack brought me here by force and two I am a knight to the royal family giving me higher authority over you and three I'm sure the king and queen would hate to find out that their daughter was not only kidnapped by you but also went missing under your care! Now I suggest you sit your ass back down and listen to what I say before I really get mad!"

If I wasn't already worried about Sia and annoyed with this alpha I would have laughed at the face he was making but now was not the time for that, he bowed his head and walked back to his desk taking a seat

"I apologise for my out burst please continue with what you wanted to say"

He motioned for me to sit but I declined I needed to stand to make sure if Sia returned I could shift and go to her

"Allisia is missing I saw her leave early today and she has not returned trust me when I say this isn't like her. I would like to go search but I do not know your land please assist me"

"I'll send you with my son Leo and his beta Dill which I'm sure you met, they can help you canvous the area and find her."

I said my thank yous and walked with Dill outside to where a annoyed Leo was standing

"So you could shift and never told anyone?"

Leo never looked at me as he asked the question walking off towards the forest

"I had no need to tell someone who kidnapped the princess and myself and I did not tell her because it is my duty to protect her and stay in wolf form,"

"Dude do you always talk so formal?"

Dill asked with a smirk on his face

" No but I'm always in wolf form so I never had a chance to have a decent conversation with someone."

We walked through the trees taking in the scent of the woods, after some time of walking the scent of hazelnut and vanilla filled my nose that was her

"She's this way!"

I took off in a slow jog following the scent of my best friend, I have never said that out loud but that's what she was. We came to stop when her scent started to blend in with something awful

"Rogues! Seems she bumped into them here, this can't be good there is blood mixed in with the scents "

My heart skipped a beat we have to find her please moon goddess let her be  safe and alive.
