Hyejin showed up at his doorstep one night, surprising Seokjin. What surprised him even more was when she hugged him, crying of pure joy.

"What's going on?" Seokjin asked sleepily.

"I passed!" She exclaimed at him, showing him a screenshot of the exam results on her phone. "I'm now a resident doctor!"

"Really?" Jin grinned, hugging her back as they both jumped in joy. Hyejin was over the moon, and kissed Seokjin on the cheeks multiple times, until her lips landed on his.

Hyejin gasped when she realized what she's done, judging by Seokjin's surprised face. They both stopped and repelled each other like magnets, faces turning beet red.

"Keep it down, you two!" Namjoon shouted from his room, returning to sleep.

"I... Uhhh..." She stammered, unable to find any possible explanation of her actions.

"D-do you want to talk about it?" Jin asked with equal nervousness, letting her in.

"Sorry... I've been drinking with some friends ..." She confessed, looking down to her feet. "But I did want to do it for a long time now."

Jin turned his head to look at him, blushing at the sudden confession taking place in front of him.

"I kinda do, too." He answered, making her look up at him. "And I kinda like you. No, I really like you, for the longest time already. Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"And I kinda like you too..." Hyejin smiled at him, holding on to his shoulders, testing the waters. "And I would love to."

Jin was the first to plant his lips on Hye's though. She felt really warm as she kissed back with some intensity. It felt like home. Even if Hyejin had forgotten what home is, she remembers the feeling. It was the feeling she got when he's close. And god, how she missed home.

The four other boys were released today, just as Hyejin marks the third week of Jin being comatose.

"And don't forget to take your meds, Hobi..."  Hyejin ruffled Hoseok's hair as he laughed, infecting the girl of his cheerfulness. "And visit us often, it gets quite lonely!"

It was Yoongi's turn to approach the girl, hugging her tightly as he could with a sling on his arm. "Hyejin, take care of yourself, please."

"I am..."  She chuckled, hugging him back. "All of you still need to rest, so don't overwork your muscles."

"Will do." Namjoon nodded, resting his hand on Hyejin's shoulder. "Well, looks like we'll be leaving then. See you later, noona!"

Jungkook silently approached Hyejin and brought her in a tight hug. She understood what he means. "Thank you, Kookie. Take care of yourself okay?"

Their managers usher them inside the car as the start the engine. The four boys waved goodbye on the window as the car begins to move.

"Bye guys!" She bid the four of them goodbye, still waving as their car exits the hospital's parking space.

She sighed once again, feeling empty once again. She hated feeling empty.

And she hated to go back there and see no improvements. It scared her.

Yesterday, after she ran some tests on his condition, she asked the resident neurologists for some second opinion about Jin's traumatic brain injury. It was because he stopped responding to stimuli once again, and his brain activity was depleting. They told her that if he doesn't respond to the tests anytime soon, he might just be declared as brain dead.

His concussion was even worse than she first thought. He was slowly dying because of it.

But she didn't dwell on it long. Because as long as there was hope, she will hold on to it no matter what. He would wake up and Hyejin would finally be able to be with him again.

She went home today, doing laundry and cleaning up on the dust accumulating on their cupboards. She slept fitfully, but woke up earlier than the crack of dawn. She quickly fixed herself and headed straight to the hospital, starting her shift at 6am.

Hyejin used up all her free time on being in the ICU, sitting and talking to him as if he were listening.

"Do you remember when you asked if we could move in together? When you flew that paper plane in my direction during a fanmeet?" She smiled at Jin's peaceful face, adorned by many wires that helped him breathe and keep his heart beating.

She caressed the paper plane necklace in his collar with her forefinger. Then her hands wandered on her matching necklace, where the ring he gave her also hangs.

"I'll never forget it." She whispered quietly, bringing her hands to the back of his palm and kissing it. "You made me feel like home."
