Aspect of classroom management
Description
Effects on the learners
Specific area in the classroom
The teacher's table is found at the front, facing the students' chairs which are aligned by columns. There are educational posters posted on the wall including the bulletin. Trash bins and cleaning materials are placed mostly at the back corner.
The classroom looks good and orderly for the student to feel comfortable while learning.
Classroom rules
They do not have rules posted in the wall but they make their rules when they are going to start their classes
It challenges the students what to do, not to do and what to obey.
Classroom procedures
Teacher will check the attendance before starting her lesson, after it activity will be given to the students.
The students are aware of the time to enter the room. They are forced to enter the class always or they ill missed the points on the activities.
Daily routine
Before they start their class they attend the flag ceremony after that they go to their respective class. And before they begin their discussions and activities they pray first.
This makes the students aware of time so that they come to school early.
Seating arrangement
The seating arrangement is boy and girl seating together and smallest student's seat in the front.
It is effective to learners because of their situation or they benefit most.
Handling miss behavior
The teacher give warning first to students but if the students did it again and gain the teacher scold him or her.
They are able to learn which is good and which is bad from what they are doing.
Reinforcement of positive behavior
The teacher give example or stories related to their topics that are of positive values
It gives the student what are the good things they should do or obey.
ANALYSIS
1. Do the classroom organization and routines affects the learner's behavior?
2. What should the teacher have in mind when he or she designs the Classroom organization routines? What theories and principles should you have in mind?
3. Which behavior strategies were effective in managing the behavior of the learners? In motivating students? Why are they effective?
The classroom routines affects the behaviour of the learner for it change their attitude regarding the time management. With these routines students can adjust their way of behaviour at home and in school. The teacher want her classroom to look wide, colourful and home like classroom so that her student will be relax in the classroom. This kinds of classroom adds motivation to the learners. The students have participation on the classroom decoration that is why they decorate it according to their interest. It is an effective strategies to give reward to students in a form of grades, appreciation of their works can also be effective because some students wants to be appreciated, the more we appreciate them the more they strive hard.
My Reflection/ Insight
I can see myself as a future teacher of the grade one or two students. I want to teach this level because at their age, they are still easy to manipulate because they are obedient and respectful. I believe that the real models are those at the lower grades because of their attitude. As their teacher I will give them the chance to learn on their own like discovery learning. For example I will allow them to make unique things through the use of their imagination on projects. In order to be an effective teacher in the classroom there are some rules I would like to implement:
Ø No murmuring while class is ongoing on.
Ø No littering.
Ø Ask permission before going out and transferring of seat- to foster discipline.
Ø No eating when class is going on.
Ø No playing inside the classroom.
Rules and regulation, including punishments in the classroom are made and agreed by the students and teachers so that any violation made by the students will be corrected by punishments. In case of punishment there will be no issue from the students because it was being agreed.
