Chapter 12: Heejin/The 4th Round

Heejin had pushed no, mostly because she didn't know what yes would do. When she woke up after the injection she was in the same cube, but this time with Yeojin. "Hey what was that just now?" Heejin said when Yeojin finally sat up. "Didn't you listen to what Haseul said? Oh, right you were knocked out! How did that happen? Did someone come from behind and knock you?" Heejin tried to answer Yeojins questions. "Well after all the girls had went inside to vote, stuff became blurry and I don't remember much. No one touched me, or I don't remember anyone. The bracelet didn't prick me either, so maybe it was a gas or something." She explained. Yeojin nodded to assure she was listening. "So now can you tell me what that just was." She asked waiting for Yeojin to reply. "Right! Well I was with you when the announcement was made, but what Haseul had told us was that it was a memory round and that we could get our memories back." Heejin felt stupid for declining. "The memories made everything more confusing though. What I remembered was I was filming with a bunch of people for my Music Video. I remember seeing the people react to it and seeing my song rise on the charts, I also so that I had fans!" She let out a sigh, "You would think if I really meant something to those people they would save me though, right?" Heejin contemplated her question, still thinking about what Yeojin had said. "Yea, are you sure those are real memories?" The buzzer had gone off and the cube doors opened. "We can talk more..." Before Heejin could finish Yeojin was already out and running to the projector. Oh right what did Chuu vote, Heejin thought checking her bracelet. It showed a 9. Yves and Chuu must have made a deal to vote Friend, that would kind of explain why she left me, maybe she didn't trust me. She thought walking out of the cube. She caught Chuu's eyes and Chuu ran to her. "Oh Heejin! Please forgive me! I Swear if I knew that you would be out I wouldn't have done it." She frantically said. Heejin just kept walking ignoring Chuu. She left me, Heejin thought, She deserves this.

Arriving at the monitor a few girls were talking about their memories. Haseul seemed to be on the outskirts just watching the screen. Heejin thought, she should go talk to her, but ultimately letting it go. She instead eavesdropped on a few conversations. "My fans are waiting for me I can't be in here!" one girl said. "So are mine!" Heejin couldn't keep track of who was saying what with all the commotion. The screen had lit up and started to display another set of points. "What? We didn't vote though." Heejin thought watching the scores show.Everyone's reaction went to Haseul. Who was looking down at her watch. Nobody spoke for a while. Until Haseul broke the silence. "I don't blame you guys for Voting me. I hope the memories were worth it." she said the last part in a sadden tone. "Let's not waste our time, we have 10 minutes it looks like. Let's talk about the rooms we have been in and what we have gotten. The girls with the safe objects went around explaining the rooms and how they got them. Heejin explained how she had obtained the Yellow golf ball from the 1st door in round 1. "The puzzle was a mirror that showed three different faces and you had to match each face with the right colors." she explained, clearly not doing it justice. Yves chimed in, "The mirrors showed our faces, and we had to match the face positions to unlock the next puzzle, which was a large tub, filled with those yellow golf balls. We then had to find pages with highlighted numbers for the safe." "Yea what she said." Heejin said getting shown up. Heejin had tuned out most of the conversation to think about the memories. She wondered what her memories would have shown if she had pushed yes, and why did people gain points and lose points. Yeojin had said nothing about points, Heejin got losted in her own mind, only being summoned back to the sound of the warning ding. 4 new doors had shown showing the colors Pink, Red, Blue, and Purple. The girls had started to pair up to show the solo's who they had. "Hey, what if we just voted for what door we wanted, we can just go stand in the door we want and if you want the same door the solo or pair can choose. Yeojin walked over to Heejin and discussed what door they should take. "I was thinking the pink door, or the blue door. What are you thinking?" she asked. Heejin thought it over. And looked at the doors. Haseul and Choerry were standing in front of the purple door. "They are a pair, Sorry I just noticed you weren't paying attention when we were discussing pair and solos. Do you want me to tell you who is with who?" Yeojin had said. Heejin nodded. "Okay, Well for pairs Haseul and Choerry, Yves and Olivia, Vivi and Gowon and me and you," She had explained. "Leaving the other 4 girls as the solos." She smiled as she finished.

Heejin looked at the other 3 doors. The red door seemed to be full already. Kimlip, Yves and Olivia were in front of it. "We could go to red door, I don't think Kimlip and Olivia are going to mesh well, probably Yves choice." Yeojin had seeing Heejin look at the red door. She nodded. Blue door had Jinsoul and Chuu standing at it. "If we went and stood with Jinsoul and Chuu, we could pick between the two." Yeojin said, "They are both solos."

Looking at the Pink door she saw Gowon and Vivi. Hyunjin was behind them, also observing the doors. Yeojin walked over to Hyunjin. This is their first room not together isn't, I wonder how that will work out, Heejin thought to herself. Heejin walked over to the two girls, Hyunjin had just finished speaking. "Hey Heejin can I talk to you." She said walking Heejin away from Yeojin. "Please take care of her." and with that Hyunjin had walked to the Purple door. Heejin walked back to Yeojin. "What did she say!" Heejin thought about what to say for a moment and finally ended up saying, "Nothing she just told me she wanted Purple door." Yeojin nodded her head, "Right, well where do you want to go." Heejin examined the doors one more time. She didn't want to go steal Pink door from Gowon and Vivi, but the Red and Blue door were up for grabs. "I wanna go through the red or blue door." she told Yeojin. Nodding her head Yeojin spoke to say, " If we go to the red we will probably get chosen by Kimlip, but if we go to the blue door we have to pick between Jinsoul and Chuu, leaving the other to go with Gowon and Vivi through the pink door." She explained. "Hmm, how about we go to the..."
