Chapter 17: Vivi/ The 5th Round

Vivi woke up with tears in her eyes. It was real, Haseul and Vivi were close, they weren't just strangers put into a crazy project together. She sat up and realized she wasn't in the normal warehouse. Vivi looked around and there wasn't all the girls with her. Only Hyunjin, Heejin and Chuu were with her. Vivi stood up quickly and looked around the new room, "No." Vivi said seeing the door behind her. It's another puzzle room she thought. Why four people though? What happened to to Haseul's body? Why another room? Why did memories of Haseul comeback? Vivi let out a sigh and turned to the girls, to see Heejin sitting up. "Why do we have to do this. Not again. Just let me go!" Heejin clearly upset sat screaming. Hyunjin and Chuu awoke to Heejins screams. Hyunjin was a wreck, and Chuu was unusually quiet. "Guys we are in another puzzle room." Vivi told them. "Us four?" Chuu said sniffling. Vivi checks her bracelet and sees a 3 where the 2 once was. "My bracelet says 3 instead of 2. I think" "Stop talking we get it let's just do this puzzle and leave." Heejin said snarkily. She stood and walked into the room. Hyunjin stood up and followed her wiping her tears. "Wow." Vivi said under her breath. Chuu walked out ignoring Vivi.

The room was a large and open. On the ground was track, with grass in the middle. Heejin was on one side of the room looking at lockers opening and closing them. Hyunjin was in a room that said Supplies above it. Chuu had wandered off to to the track and examined it. Who should I go talk to? Vivi thought. Heejin seemed frustrated looking at the lockers and started to slam them. Maybe Vivi could convince her that leaving isn't the biggest priority. Hyunjin was clearly having a rough time, maybe she could comfort her, or Vivi could go make amends with Chuu, she knew that their relationship wasn't as good as it could be.

I'll go talk to.."

*Poll Chuu* *Hyunjin* *Heejin*

Vivi feels like Heejin is a case that needs to take priority. Walking over to Heejin she can feel the tension. The sound of lockers slamming gives Vivi chills. "Heejin." Vivi calls out, "We need to talk." Heejin lets out a slight laugh, more of a smirk. "Why is that? Do you want to tell me I can't leave now?" "No, i'm just saying." Heejin cuts her off. "You know what who even are you? Who even is she or her? Can you answer that?" "That is Chuu and" cut off again. "I mean personalities! We don't know each other if you expect me to trust any of you, you are wrong. Haseul is dead, and I don't plan on being next." "Heejin." "How about you just leave. Huh? Why not try that maybe you will get somewhere with it."

Chuu walks over to the girls, "Hey we figured out the puzzle. No help from you two." Vivi looks down, "Sorry, What do we need to do." Vivi feels like she didn't accomplish anything, and made things worse with the girls.

Hyunjin explains the puzzle and how to finish it. "All you have to do is take this baton and run around the track. When you finish pass it to the next girl. I'm pretty sure there isn't a specific order so I'll go first. Just remember you can't stop running when you have the baton."

After one attempt the baton had changed from a solid red to a yellow on half of the baton and purple on the other side. Vivi watched Chuu finish the last lap and then the track began to shake and move downwards. Ending in a rap like structure to what looked like a balcony view. Vivi wanted to say something to the girls, but they each walked down separately. Vivi sighed and followed quietly.
