Tony's POV
I watched in horror as my daughter ran towards Loki. I knew what she was trying to do, and as much as I wanted to stop her, I was still unstable from Loki's attack. "Thor!" I called out, trying to warn him.
Thor pushed Loki away from him and spun to face me. Aiming a finger towards Jess, he followed my gaze until he saw her. Immediately, he began sprinting towards her, trying to intercept her path. Just before she could reach Loki, Thor took hold of her arm and pulled her back. She struggled against his grasp, eyes trained only on Loki, who was now watching with unconcealed amusement.
"Let me go!" She snarled, still trying to escape Thor's clutches.
"Lady Jess, this is too dangerous for you."
She tried to rip her arm from his grip. "He's attacking my family! He'll end up killing all of you!"
Vision stepped in front of her. "Jess, it is not safe for you here. We must get you home."
She was now glaring at him. "I'm not going anywhere until he's permanently captured or dead!" Again, she thrashed around in Thor's arms. "I prefer dead!"
Jess' POV
Thor's grip on me was impossible to break out of. Despite my screaming and my struggling, he would not release me. All I could do was glare at Loki, as he stood a few feet away, smiling victoriously.
Dad stepped into my line of sight, blocking my view of Loki. "Honey, please. Don't do this. I lost you once and I refuse to lose you again. Kiddo, please... let's just get you out of here."
"Dad-" But he cut me off.
"No, Jess. I'm not letting you risk your life to save ours. Our family wouldn't be complete if we lost you," his eyes were filling with tears as he took my face in his hands. He tried to get me to understand, but I was torn. I wanted to leave with them, but a part of me wanted Loki stopped.
"Oh, by all means, if she wants to attack me, then let her," Loki took a few steps forward. "Don't stop her on my account."
Thor released my arms to hold my shoulders. I took my chance then. Shrugging out of his grasp, I dodged dad, and headed straight for Loki. He reached out as I neared him, and gripped my arm before throwing me against the wall. There was a resounding crunch as I heard something in my body break.
"Jess!" Steve shouted out. He started to come my way, but Thor held him back. "Thor-"
Thor gripped his arm. "If you go near her now, Loki will kill her with no hesitation. We have to be careful of how we go about this."
I managed to push my body off the floor as I gasped for air. A sharp pain ripped through me, and I was certain I had cracked a rib... or more. Loki grinned and came my way again. A metallic taste filled my mouth. The jerk split my lip, I thought bitterly. Spitting out the blood, I stood slowly and glared at him. "I'll kill you."
His grin widened. "I'm sure you would love to. However, I have friends who would like to kill you." Just before I could move out of range of his grasp, he took my arm, smirked at my family, then disappeared with me in tow.
