The school days drag on. It's funny how slowly time seems to go by when you just want it to speed up.

I spent the rest of the Autumn half term chilling on my bed, texting Evelyn about how excited we are for the meet and greet, which isn't such a bad way to spend my time.

When school rolls around again, the first day back is alright. Evelyn and I can't stop talking about the meet and greet, and in the lessons I have with Alex, I peer over at him now and again to admire his beauty. I could have sworn that one time I saw him looking back at me, just for a split second.

After a few days, I'm done with this whole process already. When will the Christmas holidays come along and rescue me from this prison?

I pack up my bag from the final lesson of the day, history, and start making my way out of the door.

"Hey." Comes a voice from behind me. It's soft, cool and smooth. I jump slightly.

I turn round, to find Alex Martin stood there, in the middle of the hallway, looking at me. me. I internally squeal.

"Oh, uh, hey." I stutter. Wow, real smooth Nadia.

"Uh, you're Nadia right, we have a few classes together?"

"Yeah, that's me." I giggle. Dang it Nadia, pull yourself together.

"I'm Alex, by the way," He says, scratching the back of his neck. Agh, he's so cute, "I was wondering if you'd maybe like to, uh, hang out sometime?"

"Yes of course, I mean, yeah, sounds good."

"Cool, if you give me your number then, maybe I could text you?" Ooh, he's smooth. I press my number into his phone before handing it back, smiling.

"Cool. See you around then?"

"Uh, yeah."

and with that, he's gone.
