"Oh wizards and witches, it's our first day back and I'm already late!" a girl exclaimed as she rushed down the hall with her spell books in her arms. Her hair in a mess, her tie wasn't even tied properly as it went the other way around and clearly, her unmatched socks were a sign that she did not have a lot of time at all.
She took out a pocket watch and tried to glance at it, but unfortunately, the girl was sent sprawling across the floor. "Ouch" she said while clutching her aching backside. "Watch where you're going little girl" a cold voice spat at her.
The girl on the floor glanced up to see a very angry looking witch. "I'm so sorry for bumping into you, oh! I've seen you a million of times already but we still haven't been introduced to each other yet, I'm Skylenne" she said, standing up and holding out her hand for a shake.
The other girl scoffed before bumping into Skylenne's shoulder and leaving out of sight. "I like your hair by the way!" Skylenne called out, not even sure if the girl heard her. She bent down to pick up her books when she caught a glimpse of the time on her pocket watch.
"Ah! Now I'm horribly late!" Skylenne let out a shriek as she dashed her way towards her lesson room. As she arrived, she let out a sigh of relief when she noticed the teacher's desk empty. "Looks like I'm not the only one who's late" she muttered to herself.
Skylenne settled down on her seat when a girl approached her. "Um, are you alright?" Skylenne turned her head to see a girl with blonde locks and violet eyes, "What do you mean?" she asked the girl.
"Well, you seem to be a mess right now" the girl said as she gestured her own hair to pin point Skylenne's own hair. Skylenne tried to flatten her hair while smiling sheepishly at the girl. "Thanks, you're Tyra right?"
The girl nodded her head at Skylenne's question. "Didn't you have time to prepare?" she asked. "No, I rushed all the way here" Skylenne answered her, clearly this girl before her knew that she was already running late, why ask. "Why were you in such a hurry?" Tyra asked her while tilting her head in confusion.
"Well, I was late" Skylenne took out her pocket watch to show it to Tyra. The girl was surprised when Tyra let out a laugh. "You are not late Skylenne, you arrived half an hour early"
Skylenne went back and forth from watching her watch to glancing at Tyra. "But last night, it had the right time" she said in confusion while the other girl only shook her head. "Well never mind that, just fix it later and while I'm here, here's your Morrinae for our lesson later" Tyra told her as she handed Skylenne a wand with block and white spots on its body.
The girl glanced at her classmates to see what kind of Morrinae they have received. "Anyway, what is wrong with my watch? I swear I never had any problem like this before" she muttered to herself, pondering how on earth did it get rigged. "Talking to yourself again, I see" a voice interrupted the girl's thoughts.
Skylenne placed her watch inside her vest and looked up to see a girl with hazelnut hair and silver eyes. "Arum" she said while bringing a smile on her face. "You're early" her friend said while taking a seat beside her.
"My pocket watch is broken" Skylenne said while taking her watch out once more and gave it to Arum. "It's not broken silly, it's been tampered with" Arum told her friend as she took a bite of her apple.
"That's odd, who would tamper with it?" she asked, failing to notice the indescribable look on her friend's face. "I did" Skylenne dropped her pocket watch the moment Arum answered her. Skylenne's face turned into a scowl as she stood up from her chair and faced her friend.
"Why did you do that?" her snowy hair that she tried to fix earlier suddenly became a mess and began to rise slowly. "You're always late in the morning, so I made sure that you would think that this time, when you wake up, you're already late in your head"
