WITH November arriving as well as the first Quidditch match of the season, Roxanne found her life growing increasingly better. D.A. meetings were leaving the girl in an ecstatic mood every time she left; glad to help those who didn't necessarily understand the tricks of defensive combat. Those in the D.A. were learning to trust her more as she showed them short cuts and easier ways to perform spells and win a duel.

Harry and her had not spoken about the kiss since it had happened, both too busy with other activities to think about that moment. Roxanne had busied herself with tutoring first years so they didn't lose all sense of understanding before it was too late. Harry had Quidditch practice almost every night, figured out lessons for the D.A., and was a student all on top of it. To say the least, the two only spoke at meals, and even then it was cut short.

The cold weather was most definitely prominent in the Ravenclaw Tower as she got dressed for the first Quidditch match of the year. Seeing as it was against Slytherin and Gryffindor, the girl had dressed in as much red and gold as she could; a scarf Charlie had lent her, Ginny's knit hat she'd left in Roxanne's trunk, and a pair of knit gloves that Hermione had graced her with.

Roxanne brushed her hair and tied it in a messy ponytail without even looking, and slipped out of the room before the other girls could start a conversation. It wasn't that she didn't like them, it was just that she had other people to meet with. She was met with a shower of greetings from the Ravenclaws in the D.A., most sporting the red and gold attire as well.

She hoped with every bone in her body that Gryffindor would be able to beat Slytherin, already sick of the song Malfoy had made up in all his free time. It went along the lines of making fun of Ron while also calling him the king, Roxanne knowing that would diminish Ron's confidence even more.

It was sort of tragic how little confidence the Weasley boy had, seeing as his potential was exponential in Roxanne's terms. Sure, he was clumsy and a bit of an airhead, but if the boy even took a chance to apply himself, he could be far more powerful than half the kids at Hogwarts. Hermione included.

As Roxanne sat down at the breakfast table next to a blabbering Charlie and snickering Weasley twins, she noticed Ron's hesitance to touch his food. This was something she had never seen before; the boy always digging into his food before his friends had even sat down.

"Hey, you don't reckon Ron's about to honk?" Roxanne nudged Charlie and Fred, eyes never leaving Ron's figure. Hermione was sat beside him as she tried to coax him into eating food, only getting a shake of the head and a mumble of words.

"I'd say he is. Let's just say practice hasn't been fun for him," Charlie shook his head.

"Missed four out of five goals Thursday night; saved the fifth on accident," Fred sighed, lowering his shoulders in defeat. "Only thing we've got going for us is Harry. Hopefully the bugger manages to catch the snitch or else Malfoy'll be twice as annoying. Little snot head."
