"You are more than just a conquest. You are my partner", Lucifer had difficulties to find the right words. "Well...I know, I haven't been the most reliable but I still do care for you. And I still think that I don't deserve you. This hasn't changed since the day I've told you that at the beach. However I want to deserve you and I think for becoming the man who deserves you I need to be honest with you. And I know you don't believe me when I say I'm the devil and when I wanted to show you my real face, my devil face, that day in the precinct it didn't work so I want to show you something else. And, hell, I really hope that is works 'cause otherwise I'll just...I don't know", Lucifer took some deep breaths and realeased Chloe's hand. It had to work. What he wanted to do had to work. Otherwise he could never ever be with the detective.

Chloe looked at Lucifer wonderingly but when he got out of bed she just sat up and observed him. She wanted to say something to calm him though when she opened her mouth she got silenced by a heavy gust caused by a pair of marvelously white wings belonging to Lucifer's back.

"Ugh..", the detective wanted to react somehow but wasn't able to form any words. Her partner really was the devil or more like a fallen angel as it seemed...but that was the same, wasn't it? Chloe just gasped. Everything Lucifer had ever told her about celestial beings, him being the devil, was real. The blonde had never believed in God but obviously he wasn't just made up by some crazy people back in olden times. Damn, she was even living together with a demon who kept looking after her daughter. How was it possible that in a single second her whole world got turned upside down? Did anyone else knew about his secret? Sure, he told it everybody but had anyone really seen him in this state? She exhaled a breath she didn't know she was holding when it hit her. Lucifer had really never lied to her. He was being honest with her since the day they met, she just didn't believe him. This realization made her feel guilty so she wanted to somehow show him she wasn't scared at least because she really wasn't.

"Lucifer, you....you really are the devil aren't you?", she watched him with her eyes wide open.

"Yes, detective, I am. You don't seem very scared though", the devil sounded somehow confused.

"Trust me that confuses me too but wait", she looked at him cautiously, "didn't you say you cut your wings off?", Chloe was surprised that this was the first thing she asked and took a deep breath.

The question seemed to take Lucifer a bit by surprise whereas it took him some seconds to answer. "Uhm yes, that's true but they grew back. Still, that's another story."

"Can I touch them?", Chloe asked with shining eyes.

"I think so. To be honest nobody, no human, ever touched them" this was the first time he showed his wings to somebody so he didn't know how it would feel, which made him a little bit anxious.

The detective slowly climbed out of bed and went to Lucifers side. She stopped in front of him and looked him into his dark eyes before she extended her arm and, very gently, run her fingertips along the long almost glowing feathers. They felt unbelievably smooth but on the other hand they weren't from this earth so why wouldn't they. With the first touch of Chloe's fingers Lucifer felt a warm shiver running through his whole body whereas he let out a deep growl. Almost immediately the blonde woman took her hand back, frightened she could have hurt him.

"Did I hurt you?", she asked quietly.

"No, more the opposite. It felt...I don't know, warm?", Lucifer looked down to the young woman standing in front of him. "Can you do it again?"

Once again Chloe extended her arm and run her fingers along the feathers, this time a little bit more strongly. She looked up to Lucifer who had his eyes closed. After some moments she withdraw her hand whereas the devil let his wings disappeared which got Chloe wincing for a second. She took a deep breath and thereafter she sat down in the edge of the bed. Lucifer stood in front of her, viewing her cautiously.

"Are you okay? You didn't even freak out."

"Yes, I think I am. And believe me the freak out will come later", she chuckeld lightly and exhaled slowly before raising her voice again. "So, you really never lied to me?"

"I never did and I never will", Lucifer caught himself staring at Chloe's bottom lip which she bit on hard.

"Lucifer", Chloe took his hand, "you said you didn't deserve me but you know, I think you deserve me more than anyone else."

The devil looked in disbelief into her ocean blue eyes. "You do?"

"Yes", she smiled and pulled him a bit closer to her, "I do."

And this time it was him who bent down to her and lowered his lips onto hers. The kiss was in contrast to their last one filled with unspoken feelings and love. Chloe raised her hands to his cheeks and slowly laid back onto her back whereby she pulled Lucifer down with her so he was on top of her. He braced himself on his elbows so he wouldn't crush Chloe with his whole weight. When their kiss grew more intense the blonde broke it and rested her forehead against his.

"Let's take this slow, ok?", she asked him carefully.

"Whatever you want, love", the devil smiled before connecting their lips for another slow kiss.

"And let's keep this, whatever it is, a secret, please", Chloe's lips touches his with every word she said.

"I'll keep my mouth shut."

"That's great but right know your mouth should better be on top of mine", the blonde grinned.

"So demanding detective", Lucifer smiled, "the devil likes", at this point Chloe shut him up with another breathtaking kiss.

A/N: Sorry for not uploading something earlier :). But however, this chapter is probably my favourite ones. Even though it isn't very long, sorry for that. I hope you enjoyed it.
