It's the first day of high school and little Ryan is no where near ready. She's going into her highschool year without her best friend Keith. They haven't talked in years and she just can't move on from it.

"Are you ready for school hun?" Her grandma asks as Ryan eats breakfast.

"I guess." She said.

"It's okay baby girl. Keith will come around sometime soon." Her grandma said. Ryan smiled and hugged her granny. She finished her breakfast and kissed her Grandma goodbye and heads outside where her bestie Zendaya is waiting for her in her matching outfit. They get to school and link with their dear friend Kehlani. They chat and share laughs and they see Keith walking with Reece and some other people. Ryan and him make eye contact but it doesn't last very long. Keith kept walking and Ryan said nothing. She sighs wishing things could go back to what it was years ago. She walks to her locker alone while listening to music and as she gets to her locker someone comes up to her.

"Hey babe." A familiar voice said.

"What do you want Justin?" Ryan said.

"To get in them cheeks of course." He said.

"Bye Justin." She said walking away. As she walks away Justin clenches his jaw and his fist as he watches her walk anyway.

"Okay but what if you get attacked by a unicorn? What you gonna do then?" Kehlani said being weird like always.

"That wasn't even our topic." Ryan said laughing.

"I know but what if?" Kehlani said. The friends chatted some more and as they were talking Ryan saw Justin staring at her like always. She payed no mind to him and continued talking to her friends. As they were talking Keith came over and nobody said anything.

"So how are you guys?" Keith said breaking the silence.

"I'm good." Ryan said standing up and walking away. As much as she wanted to fix things she was still mad at Keith.

She's sitting outside on her porch listening to music like always as she sees Keith approach her porch. She rolls her eyes and takes out her head phones.

"Why are you avoiding me?" Keith said.

"What do you mean?" She said.

"Everytime I walk past you stare at me and when I talk to you you just..." He said.

"Just what?" She said.

"Don't cooperate." He said.

"Maybe because you did it to me first." She said.

"But I have my reasons." He said

"Oh yeah and they are?" She said.
