EDWARD

Bloom has been quiet all throughout class today, her blue eyes never even turned towards mine. Yet, I yearned to see those curious gems turn to me. Alice texts me that Stella is in her class for English, and the girl has yet to answer a single question without a sarcastic remark.

"Bloom?" I whisper and she glances at me in shock, "Y-yes?"

"Can we start over?" I say and she looks down at her lap before sighing, "I think it would be best if we weren't friends."

"Please, don't say that. I want to be friends with you. I want to know more about you. Your kind. You intrigue me." I say honestly, but it might have been the wrong thing to say because suddenly there were flames in her eyes, "Am I some sort of science experiment?!"

I go to deny, but she sits there fuming, "Do not even speak to me, Edward. Just know you are better off without knowing me."

As class ends, she had walked quickly out of the classroom. I could've chased after her at my normal speed, but I am sure students would find that weird.

"Bloom! Wait!" I settled for singling her out, instead. She doesn't acknowledge me, though, her friend most definitely does. The blonde glances at me, curious before smirking and heading to me. She's about a few inches shorter than my chin so she has to look up.

"Hello, vampire boy." She smirks up at me and I raise my eyebrows, "Excuse me?"

"Listen, I am gonna cut this short, ok? I know you wanna get in my friend's pants and all, but she needs to concentrate on ending a few witches. So after that, you have my permission to date her." She crosses her arms and smiles smugly at me as I look at her in confusion, "Witches?"

"Yeah, I know your family and you saw the three weird looking girls. Those are the witches. I'm a fairy as is Bloom. Well, we hope she is one. We aren't quite sure yet." She bites her lip thoughtfully before jumping and cringing as Bloom shouts her name from the end of the hall. Pretty much everyone had left by now, so the few people in the halls had turned to take a two second glance.

"Bye, loverboy!" Stella pats my arm and rushes to Bloom who growls at her, "I told you to lay low, you idiot."

"You love me." Stella snickers before pointing at her friend, "You ready to train?"

"Of course."

They head out as my family comes up to me. Emmett speaks first, "Well, she has spunk. She's pretty much an airhead, too."

"A lot like you." Jasper mumbles as the others giggle.

BLOOM

I had been trying for the past hour to throw the flame at the target in the meadow. To no avail. Kiko nimbly ate his lunch as Stella sits, picking at her nails, "You have to feel it from your heart, Bloom."

"You don't think I am trying? And how are you even helping?"

"I am supervising. Protecting this small bunny from you." Stella pouts at Kiko who merely pauses his eating to snort lightly before hopping off to find more flowers.

"Why would you tell Edward all that, anyways?" I groan as I remember earlier yesterday. Stella giggles quietly beside me before stretching onto her stomach, "So that you could grow a few balls to ask him out. Besides, you're unhuman, so is he. Live a little."

"Stella, you're impossible."

"C'mon, don't tell me you do not secretly want to be wrapped up in his lean, strong arms and kissed beyond belief? Have you seen those lovesick eyes that continuously search for you? I bet he's thinking about you right now. Oh my dear, sweet Bloom." Stella feigns a dark voice behind me and I flare a fireball right at her, "Oh shit, Bloom!"

"Don't curse at me, you deserved it!"

"No, Bloom, you did it!" Stella cheers and I pause before grinning, "Oh my gosh, I did!"

"Now, we can be ready for tonight!"

"If we make it through, I promise to give Edward a chance." I say and Stella glances at me, "Why are you saying it like it won't be a possibility?"

"Because in my head, there's a ninety-five percent chance we may die tonight."
