Veronica's POV

"I'm just saying that 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' is practically the best film of all classics" I said.

Jughead rolled his eyes and smirked

"You just like that film because Audrey Hepburn is in it, and she is your favourite actress of all time"

"Maybe. But the film is still amazing" I giggled

"Well, I can't argue with that can I?" Jughead said as he wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed me.

"Oh my God. Get a room you two" Toni teased laughing as she walked in the student lounge holding hands with Cheryl.

Ever since they came out as an official couple, they really like to show a lot of PDA. For example, yesterday I was casually walking down the hallway with a few other vixens, when I saw Cheryl and Toni making out in the middle of the way. I'm pretty sure I'm scarred after I saw the doing the same thing every brake.

"And when will you get one?" I smirked.

Cheryl just rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Well, we can't hide how much we love each other." said Toni and kissed Cheryl.

"Oh my God. Here we go again." I sighed and started laughing. But when I looked at Jughead, he looked like something was wrong.

"Are you ok, Jug?

"Ummm... Yeah I-I'm fine.

"No you're not. Tell me what's wrong."

"We just haven't said 'I love you' to each other yet." he looked at me with a glimmer of sadness in his eyes.

Then he just took his bag and left me standing frozen.

Me and Jughead have been 'official' for only two weeks and when Archie dropped the L-bomb, we were dating for three months. I couldn't even say 'I love you' back at first.

I know I love Jug, but I'm not sure I'm ready to say it out loud yet. I just need more time, but I'm not sure how Jughead will feel.

Jughead's POV

I don't know why I left Veronica there alone like that, but I was just too embarrassed about what I said.

When me and Betty started dating, we said that we loved each other very soon. I guess it was too soon, because now, she's with Archie.

"Hey! Jughead!" I heard Toni running.

"What the heel happened?"

"Ugh.. I maybe mentioned, that we didn't say 'I love you' yet..." I mumbled.

"Oh, Jug. Do you know when she and Archie said that to each other?"

"No, I don't"

"They were dating for three months. And even then she didn't say it back at first. I was on the Christmas break." she sighed.

I didn't understand one thing. How could they get naked with each other almost every day and yet, they didn't say anything related to LOVE to each other.

"Don't push her on saying it. She doesn't know much about it. I-Umm.. I have to go to class. See you in Whyte Wyrm" said Toni and left me standing in the middle of the hallway the way I left Veronica standing in the lounge.

I guess it was too soon for Ronnie and I didn't want to force anything like that. I didn't want to make the same mistakes I've done with Betty. I didn't want to make Veronica run away the way the girl next door did.

Veronica's POV

I was in the Whyte Wyrm after school with Sweet Pea, Toni and Fangs (lets pretend nothing happened in 2x20), when I saw Jughead and his dad coming in the bar.

"Well guys, that's my red flag to go" I said standing up.

"I know it's going to be a bit awkward, but you will have to talk about it sooner or later. It's not like you guys broke up" said Toni.

"I know, T. But I just don't want to deal with it right now."

I was putting on my jacket when I felt someone put his hand on my arm. When I turned around I saw Jughead.

"Can we talk?" he asked.

I didn't say anything. I just nodded and let him lead me to the storage room where there weren't any sound.

"I-" we both started.

"You can go first" I said.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I don't know what got in to me. We are together for not that long and I understand if you don't feel love yet. But I am willing to wait." he said with guilt in his eyes and then he looked down.

I took his face in my hands.

"Jughead. I couldn't say it not because I don't feel that yet. I couldn't say it because I never heard anyone say it around me, especially TO me." I said tearing up but trying to smile. He looked at me with some sort of disbelief. So I smiled at him and chuckled.

"I love you, Jughead."

He picked me up an kissed me.

"I love you too, Veronica."

I smiled and kissed him.
