TOBIAS
+++++++++
A soft wind breezes through the open window, fluttering the white lacey curtains. Streaks of sunlight shine through the glass and illuminate the white walls of the room. Birds chirp happily outside the window in the trees.
My eyes flutter open, staring up above at the high ceiling, pondering last night's events. I lay, covered, in white, thin sheets, with my leg and bare thigh standing out from the entrapping sheets.
Beside me, someone stirs, pulling the sheets closer. Slowly, I turn my head and look into the blue eyes of Tris, who is gently wrapped in the sheets. Our bodies are entangled; my leg under hers, and her arm under mine. Our naked skin contrasts with the pale white sheets, making our bodies look very tan.
I slowly reach my hand out and gently put the loose strand of hair behind her ear, and she closes her eyes and smiles. She cuddles up next to me, putting her head on my shoulder, and her bare leg on top of mine.
"Tobias," she whispers. Her soft voice echoes, as if she is far away, but she is right here. Her smile reveals her white teeth, which match with the pale sheets. I take my hand, place it gently on her cheek, and caress her fair skin with my thumb.
"Beatrice," I try to whisper, but my deep voice fails in that department. She takes her hand, and runs her finger on the scruff on my chin, down my neck, and to my bare chest.
The memories from last night flood into my brain. The wedding, where Tris wore a dainty white dress and I a white tuxedo. The orchard, where I took Tris too, and where it was decorated with soft bulbs hanging from the branches of trees, and a picnic blanket and basket placed on the grass. The house, where it started to rain, so I took her back to my house in the Abnegation sector, and kissed her roughly......
Everything after that was a blur; it went by too fast, too rapidly. The moment should've lasted for an infinity, but it only lasted mere seconds.
After those mere seconds last night, Tris put her head to mine and whispered into my ear, "I'm Yours. No one else's."
Through heavy breaths and sweaty skin, I pushed her hair behind her ears and whispered in return, "And I'll always be yours. No matter what happens. Nothing can ever separate us."
The memories fade away, and the bright sunlight brings me back to the present, where Tris lays next to me, staring into my eyes.
I smile, and look at her with sincere love and lust. Gently, I close my eyes and lean in to kiss her, but my lips never make contact.
I open my eyes to see an empty spot in the bed, with only my leg poking through the covers. Startled, I turn and look for her on the other side of the room, but the room lays empty, with the curtains swaying with the breeze, and the sun reflecting off the pastel walls.
I sit up in bed, and lay my head against the headrest of the bed.
Everything snaps back into reality. Tris is gone.
But, through the breeze pushing through the swaying curtains, I can faintly hear her voice whisper,
"I'm Yours."
