Virgil sighed quietly as he left his classroom on Monday. He spent Sunday alone, refusing to let Roman over because he had to wear his glasses again just to be safe. As he walked to the outdoor lunch table where they always sat, he got lost in thought. 'God, he probably hates me now. I was kind of mean to him yesterday. I have to apologize to him.' He thought, as he sat down at the table. Once again, Roman wasn't there. "Hey guys."
"Hi, Virgil!" Patton says happily, smiling at Virgil. Logan nods, a small smile on his face as he ate. Virgil looked around the school yard, his eyes scanning for his fake boyfriend. Fake. That's all it was. Virgil saw Roman, and smiled slightly, quickly turning his attention back to the other two boys in front of him.
"Hello, love." Roman says, sitting next to Virgil, smiling. Virgil mumbles a hi in response, Roman wrapping his arm around Virgil's waist, kissing his forehead gently. Virgil blushes, but doesn't acknowledge it. Patton is trying not to squeal, and Logan adjusts his glasses.
"No public displays of affection on school grounds." Logan reminds, causing Virgil to roll his eyes. Roman glares at the older boy, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Logan, no offense, but shut your ever flapping gob-talker." Patton says, Logan looking over at him, confused. "Just leave them alone. You're the one that suggested the bet." Patton points out, and Logan sighs, nodding.
"Hey, Roman, c-can I talk to you?" Virgil asks quietly, looking over at Roman. Roman nods, and the two stand up, walking over to a tree away from anything.
"So, what's up, Virge?" Roman asks, a bit worried. Virgil sighs, fidgeting with the sleeves of his hoodie.
"I just wanted to apologize for how I was acting yesterday." Virgil mumbles, looking at his hands. "I was being a jerk, and I feel bad. I'm sorry."
"It's fine, Virgil. There's no need to apologize." Roman says, gently putting his hand on Virgil's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm not mad."
"Okay, thank you. I just wanted to apologize just in case." Virgil says, ignoring the blush he felt on his cheeks. Roman smiled, and the two walked back over to the lunch table. The bell rings, and everyone begins walking to class.
"Bye, love. Meet me in front of the school after you get finished with the theatre thing." Roman says, kissing Virgil's cheek gently, walking to class. Virgil nods, and walks to class as well, blushing lightly.

Virgil walks out of the school with Patton, the two talking about a dog Patton saw that morning. Virgil sees Roman, a small smile appearing on his face. "Hey, I gotta go." He says to Patton, gesturing to Roman. Patton nods, smiling.
"Okay, have fun, Virge!" Patton says, waving and walking away. Virgil waves, and walks over to Roman, his hands in his hoodie pockets. Roman looks at him, smiling.
"Hello, love. How are you?" Roman asks, taking Virgil's hand in his. Virgil blushes lightly, shrugging. "Well, it's about to get better, because we are going on another date." He says, and begins walking away from the school, Virgil following him.
"What cliché thing are we doing today?" Virgil asks, rolling his eyes. Secretly, he was happy that Roman seemed to be having fun with this because he was also having fun, even though he'd never admit it. Roman chuckles, gently swinging their hands as they walked.
"Well, if you must know, we are going to have a picnic. We aren't going to the park, though. We are going to sit by the stream." Roman explains, walking towards his house. Virgil nods, following Roman, a small smile present on his face.
"Okay, did you already make the food for the picnic or am I helping you?" Virgil asks, causing Roman to chuckle, shaking his head.
"I already have everything made. I just have to put it in a basket." Roman says, rolling his eyes. Virgil chuckles quietly, and Roman opens the door to his house. "You can sit down at the table while I get everything ready." Roman says, gesturing over to the table.
After Roman packs the picnic, the two boys walk to the stream that was near Roman's house. They talked about various things, ranging from Disney to conspiracy theories. As they approach the stream, Roman let's go of Virgil's hand, laying a blanket on the ground, sitting down. Virgil sits next to him, looking at the stream.
"Here, I got you something." Roman says, taking a box out of the basket, handing it to Virgil. At first, Virgil refuses to take it, but Roman insists that he does. After a minute or so of arguing, Virgil gives in, opening the box.
"Roman, you didn't have to. This is a fake relationship, you're not obligated to get me anything." Virgil says, looking in the box. Inside of it, there was a silver chain with a storm cloud charm. Virgil smiles slightly at it, looking back up at Roman.
"I know, but it's something that happens in cliché relationships, so I felt like I should buy you a gift!" Roman says, smiling. Virgil sighs quietly, looking away from Roman and at the stream.
"Thanks, Romano." Virgil mumbles, a light blush on his cheeks. Roman smirks, kissing Virgil's cheek softly.
"It's no problem. Now, let's eat our food!" Virgil nods, putting the necklace around his neck. Roman smiles, pulling out the food he packed. Virgil smiles slightly at Roman, grabbing some of the food.
The two eat and talk for the next hour or so. Once they finished eating, they continued to sit and talk, Roman holding Virgil's hand, kissing his cheek, hugging him, being cliché. Virgil's cheeks were red, and it was starting to show through his makeup, but no one acknowledged it.
"We should probably be going now. We have homework to do." Roman says. Virgil rolls his eyes, but nods, the two beginning to pack everything, walking home hand-in-hand.
