Virgil took a deep breath as he began to walk over to the outdoor lunch table where him and his three friends would always meet for lunch. 'Today is my first day as Roman's fake boyfriend. Yay.' He thought, sarcastically. As he approached the table, he only saw Logan and Patton there. 'What? Normally I'm the last one here. My class is the furthest from here.' He thought, walking over and sitting across from Patton. "Hey, where's Roman?"
"Aw, someone's concerned about his boyfriend." Patton teased Virgil. Virgil blushed lightly, thankfully no one saw, and glared at his best friend. "What?"
"I am not concerned, just curious. Normally I'm the last one here." Virgil says with a shrug. He grabbed his phone out of his pocket when he feels two arms wrap around his waist. Virgil jumps, and quickly turns around and hits the person out of habit. He then sees Roman stumble backwards, holding his hand on his head.
"Ow! What the heck, Virgil?!" Roman says, standing up straight. Virgil tries not to laugh, his face heating up slightly in embarrassment.
"Shit, sorry Roman. But, by now, you should know not to sneak up on me. Remember last time Patton tried that?" Virgil says, earning a whine from Patton. Roman sighs, nodding, before sitting down next to Virgil.
"Fair enough. Anyway, Virgil, I'd like to ask you out on a date tonight." Roman says, smirking slightly. Virgil rolls his eyes, nodding. Though he knew he was blushing, he didn't want to acknowledge it.
"Okay, I don't really have a choice. What are we going to do on this date?" Virgil asks Roman, trying to act as normal as possible. Roman's smirk grows, gently grabbing Virgil's hand once again.
"That, my love, with be a surprise. I'll pick you up at six, wear casual clothes." Roman says, gently pressing a kiss to the back of Virgil's hand, before leaving with a wave to the other three. Virgil sits there, flustered, for a minute before shaking his head and turning to the other two.
"Virgil, this is amazing!" Patton says excitedly, obviously trying not to squeal. Virgil glares at Patton, Logan giving him a confused look.
"What do you mean, Patton?" Logan asks. Virgil bites his lip, glaring at the table. Patton's eyes widen, him chuckling nervously. He looks at Virgil, silently asking if he could tell Logan, causing Virgil to shake his head.
"I'm sorry, I can't tell you. I'm sworn to secrecy." Patton says, and zips an imaginary zipper across his lips. Logan turns his attention from Patton to Virgil, Virgil just avoiding his gaze.
"Virgil, what did Patton mean? And, I hope you know that, if no one tells me, I'll ask Roman what he thinks it means." The oldest boy asks, pushing his glasses up slightly. Virgil's eyes widen, and he looks at Logan.
"Fine, but please don't tell Roman." Virgil says. Logan nods, urging Virgil to continue. Virgil takes a deep breath, his face turning a light red once again. "Well, basically, I have a big fucking crush on Roman, to put it simply." Patton glares at Virgil as if to say 'stop swearing' telepathically, and Virgil mumbles an apology.
"Oh, okay. I will not tell Roman if you wish me not to. Do not worry." Logan says, and goes back to eating his food. Virgil let's out a breath he didn't know he was holding, nodding and muttering a 'thank you' under his breath.

After Virgil changed into some different clothes, he sat on his couch, anxiously waiting for Roman. 'This can go wrong in so many ways. Why did I agree to this? This is also the first time that it'll be just the two of us.' He thought, shaking his head and biting his thumb gently. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door. Virgil stands up, and walks over to the door. He takes a deep breath, opening the door, and looking at Roman. "Hey, Princey." He says, quietly. Roman smiles kindly at the younger boy.
