Flare's Past

Flares' POV

"I don't know when, but when I was very young, or an egg, I was taken from my home by dragon hunters then sold to a dragon fighting arena. The people took care of me for a few months then put me in the fighting. I was almost a year old when I had defeated the "Champion" and I was kept fighting for 4 more years, then put up for looking at in front of the arena and only taken out for champion fights. After 7 years of this I decided to try and escape."

"It took me 3 more years, but I finally escaped, and I was flying over the island when the winds forced me down and broke a wing. I knew I would need to wait 4 months for it to heal, and a month later, you washed up on the shore. You know what happened after that." I said to my rider thinking of the weeks of trying to gain each others trust.

"Well, after going through all of that I don't blame you being frightened around me." My rider comforted me.

"We should probably get back to Hiccup and Toothless huh?" I asked already knowing the awser

"Probably, but we shouldn't waste this wonderful time we have alone. I'm feeling like some trust exercises, how about you?"

"Darn tootin, let's do this." I said joyfully. My rider always knew how to cheer me up, and with that, she slid off my back and fell towards the big, blue ocean. I dove after her, and at the last moment caught her and flew upwards. After we did this a few more times, we went on to tricks. Afterwards we flew back to Hiccup and Toothless.

Hiccups' POV

They've been gone for 5 hours, what are they doing? I thought. Then they suddenly swooped down making me and Toothless jump. "What were you doing?" I asked.

"Oh, Flare was just telling me about her past and cooling off about you getting so excited to report that her type of dragon surviving near extinction." The unknown rider said.

"So thats why she yelled at me before." I said in realization. "Well, Flare may you tell me about your past?"

"Sure, although it's not the prettiest." Flare warned me.

Flares' POV

After I told Hiccup about my past he looked at me with a stunned look.

"Wow, now I know why you were angry with me before. I would be angry too if someone acted the way I did, however would it be ok if we stayed here a bit longer than it takes for Toothlesses wing to heal?" He asked.

" I'm ok, but never speak about meeting us ok?" I said, while my rider said. "I'm cool with it too."

"Ok, we can deal with that if we can also occasionally visit you guys."

"Deal."

? POV

"By the way, mystery rider, I never caught your name."

"Oh, right," I said smacking myself lightly in the forehead, "It's Eclipse, Eclipse Signer."

"So Eclipse, since I told you my story can you tell me yours?" He said obviously desperate to know, and I inwardly smiled smirkishly.

"Not a chance! Not that easily!"
