"Oh my god!" Minhyuk yelled as his laugh echoed out of kihyuns phone. He had just been teasing kihyun for the past 10 minutes about the whole affair. "Ok, ok on a real note though I think you'll be fine. I mean they can't be that bad? You're usually good with kids."
"No, these kids are weird." Kihyun said voice momentarily muffled as he pulled his shirt on.
"That's mean!" Wonhos voice soon said as he decided to join in on the conversation. He was currently at Minhyuks house. Apparently Minhyuk decided to try out exercising.
Kihyun sat on his bed before switching the speaker option off on his phone. Putting it to his ear he elaborated, "You don't understand they're the reason I don't go into the backyard anymore."
"Really? I thought you just hated the outside world." Minhyuk replied giggling only to fall silent when Wonho shot, "I wouldn't be talking" back.
"One kept throwing mud balls at me while claiming it was poop and the other was licking the fence." kihyun sighed as he remembered the day.
"I'm sorry did you say licking the fence?" Minhyuk asked and kihyun could practically see his reaction.
Nodding to himself he looked off into the distance, "Yes, and that's just the beginning. Another time they kept calling me a stinky poop hamster."
Wonho tried to reason, "Aren't you being too sensitive they're what, like four? If it made you so uncomfortable why didn't you just tell your neighbor?" He questioned.
Flopping backwards into his bed kihyun rolled over to his side, "I didn't want him to know his kids are annoying. I'd feel bad."
"That doesn't even make sense."
Minhyuk chimed in, "It does when this neighbor has had kihyun crushing on him since seventh grade."
"That doesn't even make more since. Is this why you never been in a relationship?" Wonho pressed.
"What, no!" Kihyun shouted back. It certainly was not the reason he's been single for as long as he can remember. Actually it's half true, but they didn't need to know that. Was it kihyuns fault no other person man or woman could compare to his neighbor slash ex babysitter? No it wasn't. A knock at his room door startled him from his internal dialog.
It was his mom, "It's about time for you to leave." She said as she opened his room door. Telling his friends a curt goodbye he hung up the phone. The duo had shouted quick goodlucks before he did so. Grabbing his charger and sliding his shoes on he made his was to the front door. Kihyun bid his mother a goodbye as he began walking a few steps to the right.
There before him, was Shownus house. It hadn't always been the mans house though. It was Shownus parents before, but when his mom passed away a year ago she left it to her son. Coincidentally, Shownu was going through a divorce and his now ex wife forced him to sell their home before she took off. In the end it worked out in a unconventional way. The house itself was nothing spectacular it was a normal middle class home. Nice lawn with lush green grass, light beige paint on the house looked a little worn but it hadn't reached the point of chipping off. Walking to the porch Kihyun knocked lightly on the dark wood door.
Noticing movement from the widow that was in front of the house, he did a double take. A little head of black hair peeked in front of the blinds. The white shades of the blinds bending and being pushed on in such a way it threatened to break. With hesitance Kihyun waved shyly at the little boy. Judging from his expression he must be Jooheon, the other one Changkyun had eyes full of mischief. After seeing Kihyuns awkward wave the boy disappeared behind the blinds. It was silent for a few moments and Kihyun was just about to knock again when loud thumping could be heard. It sounded like Shownu was running as he shouted out, "Coming!"
