Rey's POV
"Ben, today's the day we tell them."
"Tell them what?"
"Everything," I sighed straightening the bed.
"After all it is their fifth birthday."
"What do you mean everything?" Ben asked concerned.
"About their family, about us."
"But what if they hate me?" Ben asked in a sad tone.
I walked over to my husband and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Oh honey, they would never hate you," I said trying to give him a smile.
"But why do we have to tell them?" Ben groaned.
"So they can know why there can't be any Sith or Jedi. They'll be bound to hear it form somewhere else if we don't tell them."
"I guess your right," Ben sighed trying to smile.
We walked upstairs to the kids rooms where my beautiful twins were asleep in their beds.
"Millennia, Falcon, time to wake up!" I cooed.
"Happy birthday!" Ben added, making the twins blue eyes pop wide open and shoot out of bed.
"Mommy! Daddy! It's our birthday!" They shouted in unison.
"We know, we have your birthday breakfast downstairs!" Ben said bending down to their level. The twins whipped past him, downstairs to the kitchen. I smiled at Ben who stood back up. He was becoming more of a good father every day.
While the twins ate breakfast, I tried to prepare myself for what I would say about Ben:
; When he was Kylo Ren. I was afraid the kids wouldn't think the same of their father; but we had to tell them sometime.
"Kids I want you to sit at the firepit on the beach, after you're done with breakfast," I announced.
I glanced at Ben and I saw out of the corner of my eye how nervous he was.
After breakfast we headed out to sit at the firepit on the beach. There was a light glow around us from the sun that was barely above the horizon.
"Now kids, I think it's about time we tell you about us. Our story," I said glancing at Ben.
"Long ago, there was a young slave boy, who lived on the planet of Tatooine.....""And finally after the First Order was destroyed, Rey and I came back here to our beach planet, and now we have you two." Ben finished. The kids seemed mesmerized.
"So Grandma Leia is a Princess?" Millennia said.
"Yep," I answered finishing the braid in her hair.
"I want to be a Jedi like you and uncle Luke, and grandpa," Millenia said.
I looked at Ben.
"Honey the Jedi can't exist anymore," Ben said petting her hair.
"Why not?" Asked Millenia.
"It's too dangerous for more Sith to come along, and for more reasons you'll understand when your older." I added.
"But i want to become a Jedi more than anything," Millenia said picking up a stick and pretending it was a lightsaber.
"No Millennia,"Ben said prying her fingers off of the stick, but Millenia angrily pulled the stick back into her hands using the force.
I gasped and looked at Ben.
"Millennia where did you learn how to do that?" I said grasping her.
"I don't know," she muttered almost scared of herself. She looked at her hands with frightened eyes.
"It just came to me."
"Don't ever do it again," Ben uttered.Ben's POV
The night crickets were chirping as I nodded to Rey and we tip toed downstairs to the kids room. I peeked in and saw them each in their beds sound asleep.
"Ready?" Rey asked.
I nodded, then closed my eyes and put my hand out feeling the force.Rey's POV
I just stood there and watched as Ben's expression changed to worry. He pulled away almost out of breath.
"Ben what is it?" I asked.
He looked in my eyes.
"I felt it Rey. They're both force sensitive, especially Millenia...."
"What are we going to to do?"
"I.. I don't know if there's anything we can do," Ben said when we got back to our room.
"The only thing we can do is to teach them to block out the force the best they can..."A/N: Chapter 2 coming soon!
