"Young man, we have reached the place that you wanted to go to." The taxi driver's voice woke me up from my slumber.

I rubbed my eyes and looked out of the window, the school of design that DaYeong goes to is just there, I have reached her school. I thanked the driver and paid him before getting out of the taxi, I stretched my arms a little to freshen up, travelling sure made me a little tired and jet-lagged even I only took the train.

DaYeong should be coming out of her classes by now as it is reaching lunchtime, I had especially eaten lesser so that I can eat more during lunch with her. It is the holidays and I'm here to stay with her family for a few days, we have chatted with each other through videomail and she had wanted me to spend some time with her since that I had not seen her since the day that I confessed. I sent her to Ilsan right away and that was the one that I actually have seen her face to face.

I took out my phone trying to locate her while I bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry..." I apologized and looked up at the person, he was significantly taller than me and he-- I pointed at him who bumped into me, my eyes doubling in size expressing my feelings of shock.

"You!! Why are you here??" I asked him who is also feeling as shocked as I am.

"I should be asking you this question, why are you in Ilsan when your school is in Seoul??"

"Where is DaYeong??" I changed the subject.

"Why should I even tell you?? You are not even my friend or something like that." He replied. "Why are you here anyway?? DaYeong still has some classes and will finish at 6 pm as she only started her classes at 12 pm."

"Now you are telling me where DaYeong is and I'm thankful for that, want to have lunch together??"

"What??" He seemed disgusted by my remark.

"I have no one to eat with and I'm starving," I explained to him and his face softened a little.

"You came here alone??" He changed the subject.

"Yes, I haven't told DaYeong about it and you are the only person that I had known out of all these people around."

"Even if I am going to have lunch, that person would never be you." He replied. "She is going to finish as she had backup lessons, she hasn't told you about that right??" I nodded but still doubted if he is telling the truth, he clearly doesn't like me and would likely not tell me the truth. I mean, I stole DaYeong from him when he is starting to fall for her.

"There is this restaurant just a few buildings away from here, that is DaYeong's favourite restaurant to date." He continued.

"Could you bring me there??" I pleaded, if I have to meet him often, I might as well get close to him and then warn him from getting close to DaYeong.

"Treat me to a meal and you have gotten yourself a meal buddy." He said and that sealed the deal between the two of us, a simple lunch at the restaurant that DaYeong frequently patronizes.

But I regretted immediately when he said his orders to the waitress double the speed as if he is an idol rapper. "I want a Kimchi fried rice set C, two sets of tteokbokki and 3 scoops of ice cream and a cookie."

"Then what about you, sir??" The waitress asked me and I am still very impressed with how fast he actually said - no rapped out his orders to the waitress who is still overwhelmed by him as well.

"Err, just a set A will do." I gave an awkward smile and showed him my annoyed facial expression as soon as the waitress left our table.

"Why did you order so much??" I asked him the obvious question and he just shrugged.

"Since you're treating me to a meal, I might as well eat all I want." He said. "DaYeong would totally be jealous that you are treating me to a meal once you arrived first thing in Ilsan instead of her."

"Just shut up or I'm leaving this restaurant and you would have to pay for this meal which cost around 50,000 won or is it 65,000 won??" I crossed my arms at him. "So what have you done to my DaYeong during these few months without me around??"

"Oh?? That would take a whole day to talk about my lovely Jin DaYeong--"

"Yah, what do you mean??" I slammed my hand on the table. My lovely Jin DaYeong?? Only I can call her that.

"Wait, I haven't finished. You interrupted me half way and you have totally misunderstood what I was going to say."

"Well, please continue," I said with my face slightly blushing. I shouldn't have interrupted him...

"I was saying that she talks about you all the time even if it is day or night, she would mention that you did this last night or you made her happy last weekend."

I shouldn't have even worried that this guy just in front of me would snatch her away from me but I'm relieved now that she is always mentioning me even though there is no need to even talk about me. There is no way that she would fall for Kim MinGyu when she is always thinking of me all the time.

"So, don't you make her cry. If you did, I might come back as your love rival. I'm not kidding at all." He smiled.

"Then I will make sure that I would never make her cry so that you would never ever come back as a love rival," I concluded.

I came back to the university at 6 pm and DaYeong came out a few minutes later, I greeted her with a smile and she gasped, obviously surprised to see me here. I haven't told her that I was going to see her and she thought that she would be just video calling me at night as per usual.

"SeokMin, why are you here?? Aren't you supposed to be in Seoul??" She playfully hit me on the shoulder.

I pinched her nose. "It's the holidays, of course, I'm here to see you, sweetie. How's school??"

A boy and a girl could only remain platonic for a short while with one of them crushing on the other, they try to be friends but once they kiss, they are out of the friend zone. Just like me and DaYeong, we started off as friends with the both of us having feelings for each other but couldn't find the courage to confess to each other. Once we did, the term 'friend' doesn't exist anymore.
