"NO! GET OFF OF HIM!" I scream as I push matt off of Jay. Jay yells and grabs the dragger from his chest. Luckily, the small knife missed his heart.
"Are you ok?" I panicked. He nodded.
"Yeah I'm ok." He panted. I glared at Matt.
"YOU IDIOT! YOU COULD'VE KILLED HIM!" I shrieked as i pulled Jay off the ground. We walked out of the cave. I was enraged. "What. An. Ass!" I yelled then looking over at Jay casting an annoyed glare. "You shouldn't have taunted him!" I sighed angrily.
"Well what'd you expect him to do? Be all nice about it and say: 'Oh! You're making fun of me an accusing me of being in love with Dark Raven! I'm just gonna casually jump on top of you and stab you in the chest!'" He screamed. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm going home. Come by for a drink later if you wanna." I'll keep my door unlocked." I said as walked off towards the city.
ora mi stendo a dormire. Prego il Signore la mia anima per mantenere. Se muoio prima marca, prego il Signore anima mia a prendere...
I say these words for my mentor. My parents. My Brotherhood... The prayer echoes in my mind ad I sit on the cot my body silhouetted on the floor by candlelight. I lean over and blow the candle out with one gentle breath and I lay down on the small matt, folding my hands behind my head. I close my and wait to drift into sleep. An hour or so later, I heard the house creaking. Thinking it was the wind since it was blowing quite hard outside, I did nothing about it. That is until I felt the cold feeling of a knife on my throat. I kept as calm ad I could as the rough voice whispered in my ear.
"Alright... You're going to stand up and stay by my side, unless you want to end up dead. Got it?" I breathed deeply and followed the man, the knife still being held to my neck.
"What do you want from me?" I hissed in his ear." The young man laughed.
"Hm... We were going to kill you right on the spot. But I think we have some better plans for such a tough little girl like you." He said mustering a smile. I gritted my teeth and followed him into the woods. I noticed we were somewhat close to the Illuminati. But I tried to make as little eye contact as I could at the hidden cave, as closing my eyes to keep myself from peering at it. I man looked down at me and smirked.
"Ah... Is the tough girl scared? Don't worry, darling. I'll keep you safe." He said as he kneed me in the ribs. I screamed and fell to the ground scraping my face on a rock. It ripped through the skin over my eye as blood began to pour from the open wound. He began kicking me as I lay helpless on the grass. I grew lightheaded and weak. As I began to pass out, a loud shriek sounded from behind us.
"You will NOT hurt that girl!"
I slowly turned my head as three red and white flashes shot over me. The boy who yelled grabbed my captors neck and pushed him to the ground, kicking his feet from under him. The second went for the captor and slashed his knife across his cheek. I saw a jet of blood stream from his face as he whipped his head back and brought his knife forward practically chopping the second boys arm clean off. It would've been severed if it weren't for his chainmail armor. The second boy pulled out another sword while he used his first to block the mans knife. He plunged the sword trough the mans chest. A trickle of blood fell from the mans mouth before he dropped dead. The third person ran to the first boy to help him take down the captor. The boy yelled at her to stay away so, she jumped from branch to branch up a tall pine and pulled out her long bow. She drew back her bow and released the arrow. It shot forward, hitting the man in the shoulder. The man yelled and yanked the arrow out, barely wincing. I knew I had to help them. After all, they were my saviors. I struggled to my feet and lounged at the man. I took out my dagger and jumped onto his chest. With all the remaining strength I had in my body. I screamed. "YOU WILL NEVER TAKE ME DOWN! I WILL NEVER DIE AS A COWARD!" As I sunk my dagger into the mans throat.
The man let out a distorted choking and gurgling sound as I plunged my dagger into his warm flesh. I tore down his throat and through his chest. With that, the man let out a shriek, blood bubbling in his throat as he fell limp.
"Go... To... Hell..." I choked as I gasped and fell onto the ground. I looked around vision blurred. My head hurt so bad. The first boy walked over to me and poured some water from a canteen onto my face. I see the other two. Another boy and a girl. Their looks were worried, all except the first boy. His short dark brown hair hung in his face as it blew in the breeze. His gaze was stern. He sighed and spoke to the other to.
"I'm taking her back with me. I've got the medical tools to treat her." I heard him say, thought my hearing was muffled from being unconscious. The two nodded. The blonde haired boy stepped forward and spoke next.
"I'll come back with you. I'll stay the night as well. I want to make sure she's ok. She got pretty banged up." He said nervously, sweat pouring from his forehead as he looked down at me. I then recognized the three through their hoods. Jays' Wing, Matthew, and Shy Fawn. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Matt walked over, the leaves crunching on the ground where he stepped as he towered over my trembling and bloody body. He lifted me up and carried me back to Jays small cabin. I had never seen his house before, but now I know why. It was in the middle of the woods a mile or so from the city. The large house was made of spruce with large windows and a cobblestone tile roof.
Jay opened the door and lead Matt inside. Matt lay me down on the gray couch as Jay came back wit an ice back and some medical tools. He poured some rubbling alcohol onto a cloth and gently cleansed my wounds. It stung like hell, although I appreciated it. I tried moving my arm, but he grabbed it carefully and held it firmly in his grasp.
"No. Don't move it." He said sternly. I soon learned why. I tilted my wrist slightly and pain shot through my arm. I groaned as my arm ached worse than it did when I got it stuck between some cinder blocks. The man must've fractured it. That son of a bitch... I thought as Jay began wrapping it in clean fresh cloths. I looked up at Jay.
"Jays Wing?" I struggled to say. He looked down at me with those dull emotionless eyes.
"What?" He said harshly, but gently and soft at the same time.
"I'm gonna be ok, right?" I said. He smiled and closed his eyes, nodding.
"Yes... You're gonna be just fine." He said brushing back my hair.
"But what about my wrist? Will I still be able to fight?" He nodded and opened his mouth to speak, but Matthew answered before him.
"Your wrist should be better within a week. You can still fight, just be careful and don't overuse it." He said smiling down at me.
"Thanks Moochan." I said winking. Then I looked over at Jay.
"Oh, and thanks for patching me up. I guess." I said laughing slightly. He rolled his eyes and smirked.
"It was no trouble. Don't touch the wound on your face. It'll be a bit irritating through the night, but it should be fine by morning." He said then, added. "Plus, you're gonna have an awesome looking scar across your eye once it's healed." He said. Matt glared playfully at me.
"Aww. I wish I looked as awesome as you." He complained.
"Matt- everyone in this room knows I'm awesome-er." He smiled. "Well, I'm off. Night, Moo."
"Goodnight!" Matt said, removing his robe and flopping down on the other side of the couch, throwing his robe over him like a blanket. I didn't have mine with me, so Jay went to closet and pulled out a blanket and carefully threw it over me.
"Jay?" I asked. He looked down at me again. What is it?" He asked.
"Who was that man?" I say. Jay closed his eyes and breathed.
"His name was Nate. He used to me a member of the Brotherhood. He tried to kill Stray Cloud (Our father of the Brotherhood) and was exiled from ever returning." He said solemnly.
"Oh...you were friends with him, weren't you?" I said.
He shook his head and looked at me with dull eyes.
"He was my half brother..." He said.
"Oh... I-I'm sorry. I didn't know." I said. He smiled at me.
"It's ok. He said then, ruffled my hair again. "Goodnight." He whispered to me making sure not to make Matthew, who had already fell asleep. "Just yell if you need anything."
"Hm. Don't worry. I can manage. Goodnight." I replied as he blew out the candle beside me and headed up the stairway to his room.
