you turn up your nose in disgust,
thriving in your cocoon
of religion. saying that this is just lust,
but if only you knew how i swoon
i swear she's coated in fairy dust.
but you've convinced me, we're doomed.
you construct my thoughts as you must,
weaving my brain in societies loom,
telling me this love is unjust
i give you my trust
and for what?

now, i am stuck.
between these labels
that you made me tuck
into my heart as if i'm not able
to know who i want to love
you cannot just come and dispose of
who i am
you may have caused this traffic jam
but i'll be damned
if you get me lost in this program
i know who i am,
you will not get rid of me so easily
