Subhadra married Maanav Hegde when she was eighteen. Just after her finals and medical entrances ended.

Of course, Maanav had completely moulded her to choose medicine as a career, and she had only given herself completely into that.

Anyways, Sadhna Patel almost disowned her for marrying so early in life, that too without any hint to her parents about this long term relationship. Madan remained silent.

But Subhadra was a different Subhadra then. Maanav's Subhadra.
She had learnt to fight. To own, what was hers, and what she wanted to make hers.

They married at a church.
Maanav Hegde was a Christian.

After marriage, Subhadra started living with the Hegdes, as was customary.

Surprisingly, the only human from her blood relations who supported her decision loudly and wholeheartedly, was her uncle. Her brother was completely indifferent.

Subhadra could never grow close with her uncle, but, she was at least satisfied that he was trying to repay, even though his son was dead. And Subhadra knew he was not faking it, because there was no reason...

Everyday with Maanav Hegde was a new learning experience.
A new page of love, a new poetry of life, Maanav Hegde was a living gold mine. Subhadra was too proud to have fallen in love with this twenty one year old handsome man, who was terribly more than just handsome.

Maanav Hegde was a tremendous swimmer, an equally able cyclist, runner, high jumper, and what not. And he could defeat any hyped Gurus with his Yoga abilities.

Subhadra had painted a picture of Maanav and Sandhya together.
It was Sandhya's favourite picture. She framed it and placed it on her bedroom wall.

Subhadra had finally got a Mom in real sense. Sandhya loved her more than her own son, Maanav complained. Subhadra knew alright!

Sandhya would feed her little DIL cakes, pastries, continental dishes, because she was a magician when it came to cooking!

However, Subhadra could never muster courage enough to ask her, if she knew why her husband committed suicide. Or that her son could instruct to kill, be it even for a good cause. Neither did she ever ask these to Maanav.

In all, keeping aside darknesses, the little residence beamed with three humans deeply in love with each other.

Then one day, suddenly, Maanav Hegde did something very Maanav Hegdeish. Too too drastic.

He brought home a little girl.

The baby girl of hardly a year lay at a street corner. Alone, afraid, starving. He said, just when he sat to check on her, she grabbed his fingers with her little hands. And pleaded something unworded. He couldn't resist picking her up.

Subhadra was amazed to see, how easily and how beautifully a girl from the roads was accepted by the mother son duo! And Subhadra? She would have been the first one to bring her home from the road. Subhadra knew, she was finally, with the right humans of her life.....

Myra. The little girl was named.

Maanav considered her, not a sister, but a daughter. Married men did that perhaps. Myra even called her 'paa'.
But she didn't choose to call Subhadra, 'maa' . It was a 'ddii' with an exaggeration!

Subhadra got admissions to another college in Hyderabad, not the best but third in the hierarchy of colleges. She was sad that she couldn't make it to the hospital her family worked in.

Anyways, days went on good. Myra was looked after by a part time maid when all three of them weren't home. Maanav and Subhadra returned almost together. And then the time was theirs, all three of them!
