After a couple boring days at the hotel, her mother's friend had finally arrived. Emma was sitting on the couch reading 'A Stephanie Plum Novel' when there came a knock on the door. She got up to answer it. When the door opened, she saw a short, plump women with loose, burgundy curls framing her face. It held rosy cheeks, full lips, and stormy grey eyes peering through long, black lashes.

"Oh my! You look just like your mother when she was your age."

Emma was stud by the open admittence by this women whom she never met. She called her mom over her shoulder while allowing the woman entrance. Mom came out from the bathroom, spotted the vistor in the room and shouted, "Beatrice!"

"Kali!" both women rushed and hugged the crap out of each other. They made the wierd jumping circle thing that all girls do when they see a long lost friends. They spent several minutes caughting up, while Emma sat on the couch in the akward 'I don't know whats going on' position. Soon both women recongized that they left the youngest of the group out of the conversation.

"Oh, dear, so sorry about that" says Mom. "Beatrice and I were neighbors growing up. When we were kids, she had gotten the same letter from Hogwarts that you did."

Emma started to look at Beatrice in a new light after hearing this. Soon questions raced through her mind. While Emma was stuck in her head, Beatrice was telling Kali, "I will pick you guys up tomorrow around 8:00 AM to go for school supplies. Tonight, I am taking you out to dinner to get some fresh air and some good food."

Shortly after, the three of them left the hotel and had a wonderful evening out.
